With a spew of NFL helmet-to-helmet hits last week, The NFL is beginning to crack down, starting with fines and moving up to suspensions. Many players, including superstars like DeSean Jackson, were concussed on the hits. More players this year have been put on the injured reserved list due to head injuries or concussions than the last 2 years combined.
James Harrison made 2 such helmet-to-helmet hits against the Browns WR Joshua Cribbs and Mohammad Massaquio, both of them suffering concussions. Harrison will be fined $75,000. However, be believes the NFL's crackdown on dangerous hits is "cramping his style". And, unless Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike Tomlin can convince him otherwise, the 32-year-old linebacker claimed Tuesday night that he might consider retirement.

The Nfl needs to work on changing the helmets instead of how defensive players play......its gonna cause more injuries when guys try to pull up and avoid the hit

Pierre Paul Lead into the block with his head.... i dont care if it was intentional or not, there should be some type of fine if a player was sent off to the hospital if it was on a hit with there head.
