A second MRI showed a significant ligament tear in Strasburg's elbow and will require Tommy John Surgery to fix it. He will most likely be out for all of next season.
This is not all bad news however, most pitchers come back from Tommy John even better (Josh Johnson, Chris Carpenter, Tim Hudson, RA Dickey, etc). And to think that Strasburg can get better? Scary!

You know I hated the hype the kid had before he made his debut but like lebron, he delivered.....the kid was phenominal before his injury and if he can come back like Chris Carpenter did and with the return of Jordan Zimmerman and the young kid Bryce harper, the nats have a very solid foundation to build upon
