Urlacher dissing Sayers

Bears great Gale Sayers recently openly criticized the 2010 Bears.

Brain Urlacher slammed these comments and had this to say:

"Let me ask you a question: 'How many championships did Gale Sayers win? How many playoff games did he win when he played?' None. None. None.

"Does it bother me? There are enough people throwing daggers at us right now. Why does one of our ex-players have to jump in? There are enough experts talking ... about us. So why does a Bear, an all-time great, have to jump in? I just don't like that."

Is Urlacher out of line, or is he just doing what he needs to do to defend this team?

------------------------------

IMO Sayers has every right to question the Bears...in fact, I think hes speaking for the general public when he criticizes them. Urlacher is trying to defend his team, but he is out of line. You don't just go out and diss one of your own team's all time greats.

I think it's fair.

I think it's fair what Sayers said, because he wasn't lying. Everything he said was the truth. Now it's Urlacher's turn to prove him wrong.

And I also think it's fair that Urlacher spat back at Sayers. Because he was a great player for the Bears. He is a Hall of Famer. And Urlacher is a future Hall of Famer. If it was anyone else on the Bears calling out Gale Sayers I'd have a problem with it. But it's one Bears great against another. So I have no problem with it.

I wouldn't go as far to call him a future HOF steve, I think there is a little Chicago bias there. I think what they both said was fair, except what he said about winning championships and playoff games. Because correct me if I'm wrong, Urlacher has 0 championships and only 2 playoff wins from when they went to the SB.

Look at Urlacher's stats. I think it's safe to say that Urlacher will be a Hall of Famer. Mainly because he was one of the best linebackers of his time.

So you're saying if he retired right now, he would be going to Canton?

No. I'm saying at the end of his career, he will have the credentials of a Hall of Famer.

i dont ever think i saw sayers on the IR as much as Urlacher. Urlacher is a freaking pussy biAotch and should never say nothing about a Hall of Famer when he isnt even being talked about in the Hall. SO URLACHER SHUT YOUR MOUTH AND MAKE THROUGH A SEASON
