Most of you were not born yet or were extremely young when 20 years ago this week Hank Gathers infamously died on the court while playing for Loyola Marymount. He did not die because of drugs but of a heart condition. His Loyola Marymount teammate Bo Kimble shot his first free throw of every game after Gathers' death left handed in honor of his fallen friend.

I remember the day it happened I was actually a Loyola fan back then because of Bo Kimble...both guys had a ton of talent and it was a shame to see hank pass away
