Mayweather Pacquiao is off

The fight that was too good to be true aparanely is, as according to promoter Bob Arum the fight is all but dead as of now.

It's a shame really because these are the two guys who every boxing fan in the world wants to see get it on, and they can't do so because of drug testing, and egos.

It's amazing that two grown men would be willing to turn down so much money because of childish behavior.  It just doesen't make sense to me.

It would have revived boxing to what it was in the 90s

I don't know about that, but it certainly would have helped immensely.  They're only been a handful of really big time fights in the past decade, and this one would have had the potential to be bigger then all of them.

Problem with boxing right now is that they have way too many people involved on the management side of things.  Way too many guys getting paid for doing work that's non essential to the actual fight itself.  You don't get this amount of red tape with MMA, and it's the biggest reason why they've past boxing, and left it in the dust.

Floyd Mayweather Sr. and Floyd Mayweather Jr. just need shut their damn mouths! I have talked to a few boxing friends of mine and they are under the impression that Mayweather is scared to fight Pacquiao...Manny is faster and would be definitely the aggressor of the fight. That would seem to fit well into Mayweather's strategy of being the best counter puncher and defensive fighter in the world. I mean he talks a huge game in wanting to fight but when it comes down to it, he is afraid of losing

I think it has nothing with Floyd afraid of losing. I would be pissed to if a guy who has been speculated to take drugs only wants to take a test one time.

My view is that Mayweather never really wanted to fight Pacquiao, and he used the drug testing as an excuse to get out of it.

Now that could be 100% inaccurate, I'm not there so I can't give anything more then my opinion, but something like that should be solveable, unless of course one guy never wanted to fight in the first place, and I know Pacquiao's crew was pushing for this fight way more then Mayweather was.

Well one Super Fight is off, but another may be on as Mayweather is now in negotiations with Shane Mosley.

At 38, Mosley hasn't fought in a year, yet is still seen be many as one of the five greatest boxers today.

What will be interesting to watch is if anything comes out about drug testing with this fight.  Unlike Manny Pacquiao, Mosley has been linked to PED's in the past.   Although he has never tested positive in a drug test, his name was dropped in the investigation of BALCO.
