Halladay-Lee-Lackey

All 3 are now on different teams

Halladay is now on the Phillies.

Lee is now on the Mariners

Lackey is now on the Red Sox

Which team will benefit most and which has the best 1-2 punch?

If Hernandez can stay healthy, without question it's Seattle, although that's a big if.

I'd put Philly second, and Boston third.

Seattle with Lee and Hernadez no question about it, these guys can combine this year for over 500 inning's pitched. The problem now with the Mariners is what to do with the hitting. They have and went out and got Milton Bradley, but could still use another bat. I still think they need to address the catcher position, even though Rob Johnson is alright, and an improvement from Kenji Johjima, the Mariners need to go out and get a better catcher.

Johjima is one of the best defensive catchers in the game today, and Rob Johnson hit .213 last year compared to Johjima's .247, so I really don't know where your coming from with that.

I will agree though that their problem lies with their hitting.  Seattle was near or at the bottom in virtually every major offensive category.  13th in the AL in batting average, last in OBP, 13th in slugging, and last in OPS.

When your starting left fielder is hitting .213 with almost no power, there's problems.

Healthy their infield isn't too bad with the exception of third base.

Seattle just needs outfield help to go with Ichiro, and Gutierrez.  Milton Bradley might help this, and then again he might not.  All depends on how many crazy pills he took that day.  The fact that the Cubs traded him for a 30 year old with an ERA over 8 last year tells you what they thought of him.

Seattle also just needs a big time power hitter as well.  Branyan, and Lopez help this somewhat, but Branyan had about as many home runs as everyone who played the other three corner positions combined.  That has to change.

Seattle will be good just not the best in the west. *lol it rhymes* Seattle has hitting problems. you need 2 things win games. Hitting- which Seattle dont have. and Pitching which they have now. so they will win half to 75 game this year.

Angles will be #1 but Rangers will be real close to them again. and the A's will jsut be terrible.

I thought Johjima was leaving.....and whoever said Rob Johnson is OK is crazy. He was on the Cubs and couldnt beat out Koyie Hill and Henry Blanco for playing time.

The best 1-2 Punch is King Felik and Lee. The Best Rotation is Boston with Beckett, Lackey, Lester, Dice K and Bucholz. The Mariners just need one more hitter and they'll be fine and could surprise many and win the Division

Yeah, Johjima signed with the Hanshin Tigers in the offseason.  I liked Johjima.  I thought he was easily one of the 5 best defensive catchers in the game.

Well CO um I said he was ok because he did ok for the short amount of time he played. It maybe just because he's from Butte, that's pretty much the reason, but you know he did get better from his Chicago days.
