Rockies or Dodgers who you got?

Ok so the N.L. West is getting really close between the Rockies and the Dodgers, and from behind the Giants also. The Rockies right now are 2 games behind the Dodgers for the N.L. West  and the Giants are four games behind the Rockies for the N.L. Wildcard. So who you got Dodgers or Rockies?

You could say what you want about the Dodgers passing up on Roy Halladay, but there is absolutely no reason why they shouldn't have gone out and gotten Cliff Lee.

They had an unproven pitching staff, and the Indians were not asking for the world with Cliff Lee, and it may wind up costing them the division.

For his part after getting off to a great start, Jon Broxton has been horrible.

Since June 9th Broxton's ERA has been 4.66, and is a big reason why the Dodgers have been falling.

Heads may roll in LA if the Dodgers can't hold on.

I say the giants.

Best Rotation in the League... Maybe 2nd *debatable*

One of the Best Pens

and a Decent Offense

My 3 Reason the Giants will win the NL West

1. Tim Lincecum is BEAST!!!!

2. Kung Fu Panda

and 3 TIM LINCECUM IS BEAST!!!!

I think the Rockies will end up winning the divsion. They are playing the best baseball right now just like they did when they made the WS a few years back. The pitching is starting to turn it around and that offense is very powerfull so i'll give them the division. The Dodgers pitching isn't good now. The fifth spot in the rotation is the one causing so many problems and they can't get the right fit. The offese looks sluggish and Manny hasn't been Manny since the returning from his suspension. The giants have the best pitching in the NL but they don't come back to win the diviosn. Maybe knoick the dodgers out of the Wild card but not win the division

Despite their recent woes, I still like the Dodgers to take the division.

They are playing much worse right now then they really are.  Plus you look at their schedule it's about as easy as it gets.  They have six games against Arizona, San Diego, and Pittsburgh, as well as a three game set against Washington.  So two thirds of their remaining games are against four of the worst teams in the NL.

Colorado also has a fairly easy schedulue.  They have a ten game home stretch coming up against the Mets, DBacks, and Reds.  They also have another nine game home stretch near the end of the year.  So 19 home games against 12 road games, with the two toughest test being San Fran, and LA.  They other six games are against Arizona, and San Diego.

I think the Giants are setting themselves up for a downfall, and will be the odd team out in the west.

They've got to go on the road to Philadelphia, Milwaukee, and LA.  It's not their upcoming schedule is daunting but it's nowhere near as easy as LA or Colorado.  They have San Diego, and Arizona at home, but beyond that there are no other easy teams on the schedule

And no, their offense is not good.  After Pablo Sandoval, and Freddy Sanchez, Aaron Rowand has the next highest batting average at .275

The only reason the Giants have been this good is because of Lincecum and Cain.  After those two, the Giants become a very beatable team.  If either of those two falter at all down the stretch, the Giants are done.

I went with the Phillies to take the Wild Card, and the Braves to take the East, but that was before they got Cliff Lee.

That's now changing to Philadelphia taking the East, and the Rockies taking the Wild Card.

I take back what i said about the Rockies winning the Division. Its hard to say they don't win the Wild card but i still think the Giants will have a say in it even with a tough schedule down the stretch

.....I'm happy that the Rockies & Giants are playing so well but I don't think either one of them will win the west. The Dodgers are the team to beat in the NL West.....
