Big Papi has been juicing

This is a great day for me. I now know that I called David Ortiz for using steroids.  David Ortiz today has been caught using steroids. This is not a shock to many as you all may know. He started using it when he first got with the Red Sox in 2003, and intresting to note is that before June he had four homeruns after June he had 27. He is Dominican, now I'm not saying all of these players have done steroids, but a larger proportion of them caught have been Dominican stars. This is great news for a Yankee fan, suck it ESPN and all you Boston fans, this is a great day for Yankee fans and Boston haters as myself.

People need to read no further then this if they really want to know how full of it athletes are when it comes to what they say should be done with regards to steroids.

It's still wrong that this got out though regardless of how people feel about it.

Every one of these leaks violates an agreement set up between the players union and the MLB owners and front office.

Pmoe come on the public has the right to know who is cheating and who is not. Im surprised that they just do not release that whole list. They should just release the whole list instead of leaking little by little by little. Boston fans and the media plius the whole media will ride him and never let him live this down. David Ortiz is just another lieng piece of garbage. Thank you federal government for letting us know about all thses cheaters. Best thing to do now is release the whole list and move on frm this and forget his ever happend.

Anyone who says let's release the list, here's my answer to them.

Why?

If your looking for some type of closure to this, releasing this list isn't going to bring it, I can tell you that right now, because it's not like this is a list of every player who's cheated.  It's just the guys who got caught. We'll never know the name of every single player who cheated, so why bother trying to find out.

People seem to be on this search for this greatest baseball of the steroid era who didn't take steroids.  Anytime you put that title on somebody, your just setting him and you up for a downfall.

Right now the MLB has the toughest drug testing policy of any of the four major sports, and has done so with one of the toughest unions in the country fighting them every bit of the way to get it.  I don't know what else people really want them to do to prevent the problem at this point.

The only thing that's really going to put a stop to this is if the players start policing themselves, but I don't see that happening either.

The NFL has just as big of a problem with steroids if not bigger then baseball, and yet they don't even get one tenth the coverage the MLB does.

If steroids mean that much to people, then they should stop following sports like Major League Baseball because they aren't going away anytime soon.

If your not willing to do that, then I suggest to quit being so damn naive.  If you were surprised by Ortiz, Ramirez, Arod or anyone else that's come out in the past year given all the information we already know about the era, then you've been doing a great job of fooling yourself.

If you want to say that maybe releasing the list will stop all these leaks and will shut the media up about this issue to at least some degree, I'll buy that argument. But if your expecting it to do anything else, you will be immensely disappointed.

ive said this before and i'll say it again. i dont see what the big deal is when these names come out. i mean i think its fair to say around 75% of players used PED'S during this era so why is it such a big deal when a-rod or big papi or sammy sosa's name is released? i'm a yankees fan and i feel no satisfaction hearing manny and papi used roids because i realize that many players and my team and everybody elses team did to. so with that said i really see no point for the list to be released because everybody did it, not just those 100 or so cases

The satisfaction fo me is that Red Sox fans all said that the Yankees were dirty cheaters and they were juicing and that we aren't. They have found out that it wasn't just the Yankees but now its a whole baseball issue. Baseball needs to try and forget about this era somehow. They need to put astericks on some records that these roid's users have made.

In a way it really isn't a big deal.

I don't think MLB has lost any fans because of steroids, and other then stirring up the pot every couple of months releasing names has done nothing.

I think it's changed the way people view the game now.  Whatever childhood innocence baseball and other pro sports had is now all but gone, but other then that, it's had no noticeable impact on the game's popularity.

If anything the game became more popular because of it.

I'm just tired of hearing one month a name comes out. Then a few weeks to a month later another name or two comes out. Its just getting old. Now i'm not saying its right at all to be using PED's. Its just a fact of sports now that players want to get the msot out of their bodys to do great things for their teams. But now everyones just speculating who will be the next big name to come off the list.
