The Great Pitcher Debate.

This is the Great Pitcher debate....... Who is better Tim Lincecum or Dan Haren


One is the Ace in San Fransisco the other is the Ace in Arizona.



Tim Lincecum:

3 yr pro. Cy young last year.


Stats: 2007(rookie year)- 7-5 4.00 ERA  146.1 Innings pitched.   150K's Opponents batting avg against .226 Whip 1.28

2008- 18-5 amazing 2.62 ERA  227 innings pitched 265 K's  Opponents Batting avg .221  Whip 1.17. And A Cy Young Award with that

2009- 10-2  2.27 ERA  134.2 innings pitched  159 K's Opponents batting avg .214 Whip 1.04.... That sounds pretty damn good to me thru July

Career Record 35-12... 35-12!!!!!!!!  Career ERA 2.92.    574 K's thru 2/12 Seasons!

Hes going to be a Hall of Famer.



Dan Haren

7 yr pro. No Cy Youngs. Allstar Appearences tho


Harens 3 Best Years.


Oakland 2007- 15-9, 3.07 ERA, 222.2 innings pitched, 192 K's, Opponents avg .247, Whip 1.21

Arizona 2008- 16-8, 3.33 ERA, 216 Innings pitched, 206 K's, Opponents avg .247, Whip 1.13

Arizona 2009- 10-5, UNBELIEVABLE ERA OF 1.96... 1.96!!!!!!! 138 innings pitched, 137 K's, Opponents avg is under .200, they bat .187. Whip Under 1.00, his whip .80

Still to come this year will be good for Cy Young. Who will win it?

You should recognize Harens record for lowest ERA by all star break of 0.81 2 years ago

I want to say Tim Lincecum but I'm biased to him becasue he went to UDub so that makes him my favortie out of the gate. Dan Haren very good player but he is 75-57 overall and like you said Tim Lincecum is 35-12, so I am going to say Tim, but also because I have never seen a pitcher, besides Jamie Moyer, play as good as defense as Tim does. Like they say he is a freak.

Ok so for their whole carrer Lincecum is better so far and will be better overall. Both will be 100 game winners easy. Lincecum could get to 200. Of your talking about just this season it is more of a toss up. Lincecum has been beasting it and had the scoreless innings streak but he has some pwople who will give him some offense in Rowand and Sandoval. Haren has been pitching like a cy young winner all year. Now his teams record dosn'tshow it he can't do anything about it. If he had more offense there and they gave him run support when he pitches then he'd be leading the League in wins right now. This season its Haren who is the ACE in Arizona right now but overall its Lincecum
