Diana Taurasi has been suspended by the Phoenix Mercury for two games after the drunk driving incident a few weeks back. I think that this is stupid to suspend her for 2 games because NBA/NFL players do this all the time and they don't suspend the NFL or NBA players.

Well they want to teach ehr a lesson. If your on a team and you get pulled over for an extreme DUI then your team might suspend you also. The NBA/NFL front office won't do anythign about it but a lot of the time the Team will

Somethimes the team does something but a lot of times they don't which is really disapointing because the teams need to discipline the players for their problems.

Bottom line is that athletes shouldn't be considered role models because of there off season issues, but they are role models because of the TV exposure and there millions of dollars in income.

Bob I have to disagree with you. Yes they are role models because they are athletes, but there off season and off the field issues can be important than the other stuff. It is simply the way it is.
