Well i mean Suggs deserves it and the way Cassel Played last season he deserved it also. ANd not a surprise Peppers won't agree to a long term deal with the Panthers cause he wants out and they don't and can't afford to lose him on the defensive side fo the ball

Suggs is getting way to much money for what he does. Sure he is probaly the best hybrid player in NFL, but you an't tell me he is the best defensive end or the best linebacker. He isn't the best player, but he is very good. I just think that the Ravens paid way to much for this guy.

He's a top defensive end in the NFL true, but he's also 29 years old. If someone wants to offer him a long term deal at this point in his career why turn it down?
That's how guys wind up negotiating themselves out of the NFL. He'll play this year, no doubt about it, but where is he going to be three years from now? Nobody knows.
If he wanted to go to a contender or something I could understand, but it seems to be more of a system problem then anything with Carolina.
