Jonathan Sanchez threw a no hitter yesterday against the Padres.

He had a perfect game going until the 8th

Then Juan Uribe committed an error at 3rd base which Chase Headley reached on.

Going into the 9th with 1 out, Edgar Gonzalez hits a ball into deep center that looked like it might hit the wall but Aaron Rowand made a fantastic jumping catch (hes no stranger to this stuff) into the wall to save the no no.

Meanwhile, backup catcher Eli Whiteside caught the no no while Bengies wife went into labor.

Its the first Giants no hitter since 1976

So one former Sox player ruins the Perfect Game then another former Sox players saves the no-no with a great catch.

I was really surprised by this whole thing.

I wasn't surprised that he threw the no-hitter, but I am very surprised to see that the Giants have a better record than my Cubs... ugghhhhhh...

Of all the San Fran pitchers i would have expected a no no to come from Tim Lincecum maybe even Matt Cain not Sanchez but hell who cares its a no no

Lincecum almost had one but Tony Gwynn broke it up in the 7th
