The United Football League (UFL) is a professional American football league, which plans to begin its inaugural season in October 2009. There will be four teams and they will broadcast their games on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings on Versus. The regular season starts in October and the championship game is held on Thanksgiving weekend. The league recently held a draft and included a few former NFL players (Adam Archuletta, JP Losman, Tim Rattay, LaBrandon Toefield, Mike Doss, Larry Triplett, etc.) The UFL has dubbed itself as "The League wbere the future stars come to play." There are rumors, however, that the league will not be able to sustain itself and will become a developemental league for the NFL.
