Well Nash is more of a true straight up scoring Point Guard but he will pass with the best of them. I think Paul is the bets in the league though. He just needs to work on his 3 point shot and he'll be set.
The Clippers were one of the most active teams the last two days trading Zach Randolph to the Griz for Guentin Richardson then turning and trading Richardson to the Wolves fot Sebastain Telfair, Mark Madson and Craig smith. Odds are Madson will be bought out. I feel sorry for Q richardson he's been traded four times in a month. FOUR!!!

Quentin Richardson sucks anymore and that's why they are trading him. No team wants him anymore, he's just not the same player he used to be. He can still hit threes sometimes but he's not the best player he used to be.

Oh i know he's not the player he used to be. But you just got to feel sorry for a guy who has been traded four times in a month.
The Magic today agreed to terms with Free agent SF/SG/PF Matt Barnes the deal is for two years. He'll be a good compliment player and a big guy to have coming off the bench for this team

Matt Barnes is the most inconsistant player I have seen in awhile man. He is either on one night and then the next he can't hit anything. It's sad because this guy has got a great threepoint shot when he's on he just couldn't get it going when he was with the Suns. It could be a good signing if he comes around and avearages around seven or eight points a game for the Magic it'll turn out to be a good signing.

You can't shoot great every game. I mean look at guys like Kobe, Lebron and AI. When ever they shoot all the time they don't always make it. Sometimes they have off nights. Its impossible to have great shooting nights every game. I think he can average around ten points or so and he'll help the team out a good amount cause the team is a three point shooting team

No they do have off nights but they still can drive the hoop and score at will. These guys can go 4-15 yet have 21 or 22 points because they do something this guy doesn't he can't draw fouls like these guys can, and though your right there is a difference in the way they play and that's why these guys can have off days and still be the best player on they're team. Matt Barnes can't drive so he won't be as effective.

Well no duh he dosn't draw as many fouls cause his names matt barnes not Kobe Bryant or Lebron James so of course he won't get all the fouls the other guys get

Thats one of the main problems with the NBA. The Refs. They give all the super stars everything even if it's just a little touch foul that shouldn't be called but they get it. I really think if the refs are going to give the superstars everything they should call everything for everyone else thats just fair isn't it? But see that dosn't work cause they arn't carrying their team and scoring 25-30 points per game like Kobe, Lebron and D-Wade.

Kobe Bryant and Lebron James and Dwayne Wade each carry the team with there scoring and playmaking abilities. Dwayne Wade is great, if he had more help then he'd get back to the promised land like Kobe Bryant and Lebron James might get back to. I still think that the Orlando Magic are the best team in the east but the Cavaliers can sneak up and get into the lead.

I;m not so sure about the magic being the best team in the east. The Celtics are revamped there front court signing Rasheed Wallace so they'll be better and they still have Pierce, Allen and KG. The Cavs didn't really do much but trade for shaq and sign Anthony Parker so they'll still be good cause the scary thing about Lebron is he's still getting better. The MAgic now have pretty much a whole all-star calliber offense but othe than that the bench is still weak even with signing Bass and Barnes so i think the Celtics will be favorite to win the east this year

Also the Cavs signed Jamario Moon to an offer sheet, which time ran out on a couple of hours ago..So Jamario Moon is now a Cav. Granted he is not a great player, but brings some much needed athleticism and Depth.
I know that the Celts and the Magic have made some key moves, but I still see the Cavs as the best team in the East. I think the Celts are to old to handle an entire season. KG showed last season that he is starting to break down, everyone else on the team is agin.
I put my money on the Cavs, simply because the new moves have given them some depth.
In the back court you have Mo, Delonte, Anthony Parker, Boobie Gibson Forwards you have Lebron, Varejao, Jamario Moon, JJ Hickson, Maybe Joe Smith (Suppose to be in the works) Centers Shaq, Z, Darnell Jackson
Basically 2 All-Star quality centers in the middle.
Yeah they have the depth and really the celtics have no real good young talent other than Rondo and as much as we know he could get traded and then i don't think Allen, Pierce and KG and even Rahseed have many more years left in them

JaMario Moon is a very underated player and can help out the Cavs a lot in the upcoming season, maybe this will help Lebron make up his mind and stay with Cleveland. Cleveland looks good with Mo Williams Shaq Lebron and Jamario Moon looks pretty good for them in their upcoming year.

Andre Miller is a good point guard now wheter he will start over Steven Blake or not I don't know but great pick up for the Blazers. He knows how to run a team he is quick and a great passer.

Yes he is, Steve Blake coming off the bench would be good at hitting three pointers off the bench for the Blazers. The Blazers are looking good for next year.

But back to basketball the Spurs added some depth today and signed Theo Ratlif to a dezal terms not known. Its a good deal for them getting a good back up off the bench that gives them soild defense

WOW worst signing ever. Theo Ratliff is a horrible center if you ask me. This guy is a complete joke to be honest. Theo is a big slow guy that has problem finshing at the hoop when no ne is pressrueing him.

Jamario Moon will probably be the Cavs sixth, 7th, or 8th man depending. They will have Moon coming of the bench along with Z, then either Anthony Parker or Delonte, it just depends on which one of those two Mike Brown decides to start.
Basically all three of those guys will be the same, it just depends on each game.
Yeah i'd expect Moon to proly be the 7th guy because there going to want to get Shaq as much rest as they can during the regular season so Z will be coming of the bench early to take over for him in games and he tends to be in foul trouble. Moon won't come on till atleast the second unless lebron is in Foul trouble so that dosn't really matter so odds are hes the 7th or 8th guy off that bench

The moon signing really gives the Cavs a lot of versatility.
Lets just say this: Cavs starters are Shaq, AV, Lebron, Delonte, Mo
Anthony Parker can come in for Delonte. Z will come in for Shaq. Moon can come in for Lebron (when LBJ is getting his normal rest) or come in for AV. Now if he came in for AV, Lebron could move to the 4, which he played some of last season.
They could go very athletic with this line-up 5. Shaq 4. Lebron 3. Moon 2. Delonte West 1. Mo
They could also go big with this line up 5. Shaq 4. AV 3. Jamario Moon 2. Lebron 1. Mo
Gives the Cavs flexibility which is nice. The game of basketball is changing so fast thay you need players that can fill more than one role. Believe me, I coach basketball and it is an ever evolving chess game to keep up. Versatility is ket.
I do not feel that the Theo Ratliff signing is that bad of a signing. Yes, he is old, but the Spurs are not gonna want him to come in and play major minutes. They are just gonna wanna him to play about 10 minutes a night. He will play the same type of role that Dikembe has played the last couple of seasons for the Rockets.
Theo gives them a defensive presence when he is on the floor. You have to remember back when he was in his prime, he was a near NBA ALL-Stae caliber center, just based off of his rebounding and his blocked shots. Sometimes it isnt always about being offensively productive. Just look at Dennis Rodman or Ben Wallace.
Also I saw a rumor yesterday that the Cleveland Cavs coule be looking at signing Leon Powe. Power is currently out with a knee injury, but this would give them some much needed front court depth if he was to sign and come back healthy towards the end of the season.
It'd be a good signing just for his depth and he can play and give a team good min. he did it with the Celtics this season.
So the Bobcats and Hornets made a trade of big man sending Omeka Okafore to the Hornets for Tyson Chandler. I don't see hy the Hornets did this bt chandler was due a lot of money but so is Okafore so i really don't see why they made the move cause in my opinion Chandler is the better big man

Intresting move here by the Hornents they upgraded I guess but not that much though. Tyson is still if he can get it going an 18-10 kinda of player he is long and lanky which makes him a capable shot blocker.

Yeah and with the trade it hinders the Hornets chance of getting one of those big name guys to play along side CP3 next offseason
The only reason you don't hear more about Okafur is because he plays for the Bobcats.
Having Okafur and David West gives the Hornets possibly the best PF/C combo in the NBA right now, and combined with Paul at point as well as a stacked bench, the Hornets are going to be right in the thick of things for an NBA title.
All they need is a solid guy at 2 or 3, unless Peja somehow becomes the player he was five years ago again.
Problem is the Hornets really can't go out and sign anybody, but they've got some trade bait to offer, mainly Hilton Armstrong.
Great trade for the Hornets. Gives them a solid inside presence on both the offensive and defensive ends of the floor. Look back at Tyson Chandlers career, he never really did anything until he got teamed with Chris Paul. Chris Paul is one of the few players currently in the league that makes everyone around him look better. With that being said, I feel that Okafor is alot better player than Chandler and will flourish playing with Chris Paul and David West.
Chandler on the other hand will struggle with the Bobcats. The Cats have a nice young team and they are coming along, but they just got worse with this trade, but they probably did it for salary cap reasons.
Chandler is an excellent fit for a defensive minded coach like the Bobcats have in Larry Brown. He will provide great interior defense for the Bobcats. I am not a big fan of Okafor though, I think he will struggle defensively in New Orleans and playing in the Western Conference where there are dominant centers and power forward the Hornets will struggle to hold teams under a 100ppg
Only Dwight Howard, Tim Duncan, Andris Biedrins, and Marcus Camby had better combined averages in blocks and rebounds then Okafur. Out of those four I would only consider Howard and Duncan better then Okafur right now.
I'm not sure people realize just how good Emeka Okafur really is. In my opinion he has to be considered one of the top 20 or so players in the NBA today.

Pmoe what i ment saying it hinders there chance is they don't have as much money to spend during the 2010 offseason but they could still maybe get it if they lose some contracts

Okafor stuffle Defensively in the West where there are dominant Centers????? What dominate centers are out west? Honestly what real good big men are there out west? Tim Duncan is getting old, and he plays about 10-15 feet most of the time. Amare, maybe. Yao is injured. Gred Oden, not yet but I hope he gets there. I mean honestly who else out west has a true center.
The centers in the east are better than out west.
Okafor is a beast defensivly. Way better on the defensive end than Chandler. Granted Chandler is very athletic but that is about it. Offensively he will not be able to do anything with out CHris Paul and definsively guys like Dwight HOward and Shaq will destroy him.
Most of the guys you just listed are power forwards and shift sometimes to that center postiton. The West isn't about they're centers, the West is all about they're guard play. Kobe Bryant, Steve Nash, Chris Paul, Brandon Roy, Manu Ginobli and Tony Parker, and many others. West has great small forwards also.

I don't even know what you people are arguing about anymore.
The number of true centers in the NBA that are actually good is less then a dozen at this point.
The three point line effectively killed the down low center.
Now unless you are just an absolute beast inside like Shaq or Dwight Howard, you have to be able to hit outside shots in the NBA regardless of what position you play.
You really can't have guys like Mark Eaton anymore just sit there, clog up the lane, and expect them to be any more then marginal players.
That's why your seeing more and more guys like Al Jefferson play the center position, who may not necessarily be true centers, but are put there because there's really nobody else.
Well Odom is back off to the Lakers which isn;t a surprise. The raptors got Mrco Bellineli from the Warriors and signed Free Agent Center Rasho Nastarovich to a deal/ Just a depth move really. A few other lesser players have signed. Hakim Warick one of them going to the Bucks for one year

Rasho should just give it up and go back into the sunset and just retire. Marco Bellinelli hasn't lived up to what many people thought he would be, this is his third team now.
__________________
I think that Jimmy Hendrix was the best guitarist in the world
No this is only Bellinelli's second team. He'd only played for the Warriors after being drafted by them two years ago and yes he hasn't lived up to the hype.

I just go back to what I said earlier about Shaq. They were exposed against the Magic for not having an inside scoring threat.
Again Leon Powe would bring this. He averaged 7 points a game in 17 minutes a game, and I think he's ready to be an everyday starter, something he wouldn't be able to do in Boston with both KG, and now Rasheed Wallace there.
