I've had experiences with 2K games in general and I think they just don't stand up compared to EA games. EA games has better graphics, better gameplay, and are just better overall. Now I know you can't get MLB 09 The Show so you should probably rent 2K9 first. Then buy it if you like it.

The Show is a way better game, but MLB 2K is a decent game from what I've seen.
It's been about two years now since 2K really put out a good baseball game, but that's not to say that the last year's and this year's were bad games, just not as good as MLB The Show.
If you really want a baseball game, then MLB 2K is a worth the buy in my opinion.

I own 2K9 with my 360. I love it. It's a lot of fun. I'd say go buy it. It's a lot betetr than 2K8 in my opinion but still get 2K9 it's a real good game
