Mike Vick

He was released by the Falcons on Friday afternoon and now is free to sign with any team. He is off his jail time on July 20th and plans to apply to for reinstatement after that. Will he get back in? If so will anyone buck up and sign him?

He will probaly not get a job in the NFL and opt to have to play in the UFL.

I don't see Vick playing in the NFL this year for several reasons.

1. He still has to prove he's even capable of playing QB in the NFL.

2. The backlash a team would get from PETA for signing him.

3. Any offense where you have Vick as the QB has to be built around him.

4. The UFL wants him far more then any NFL team does at this point.

5. Roger Goddell still has to reinstate him, before any of this talk can really get serious.

Now is that to say there is no chance of him signing with an NFL team, no.

We've seen QB's go down during the pre-season all the time, including Vick one year.  A team may be willing to take a chance on Vick if this were to happen.

If you run the wildcat, Michael Vick is the perfect guy to do it.  He wouldn't be playing more then 8 plays a game, but you would have the biggest wildcat threat in the league, and a possible backup QB.

I doubt Vick will come back this year, but it's not out of the question, just unlikely.

Chances Michael Vick comes back to the NFL this year, 25% I'd say.

Why would you reinstate him now it's funny it seems as some things go away we try and make it bigger and better than what it was. Micheal Vick is just one of these guys that now he's out of jail you guys think that he can contend with these guys in the NFC not a chance. Mike Vick is now going to be one of the worst qb's in the league if he makes a team. He hasn't played in two years and he probaly has no chance to make it back to football shape in training camp. Mike Vick is going to be a great qb in the UFL but in the NFL he's the third string QB for any team he makes.

If he does get reinstated i've heard the rumors flying around that he'd be going to San Fran possibly. If that was to happen would that be a good move by the 49er's?

Mike Vick got screwed. Stallworth gets 30 days for killing someone, and Vick gets a year and half for killing some dogs.

As for him playing next season- Hell NO!!!! He has to get reinstated first, get rid of all these legal problems, and then find a team willing to take a chance on him. The Niners have an underrated QB in Shaun Hill Dale. They don't need all that trouble that comes with signing Vick. I think Hill is going to breakout this season.

It is BS what happened with Dante Stallworth, but that's the US legal system for you.

By comparison Tom Gallo the driver the killed Nick Adenhart is looking at around 50 years in prison.

Unlike Stallworth though, Gallo killed three people instead of one, was driving with a suspended license, and worst of all (at least in legality terms) fled the scene after the accident.

Stallworth also has the money to settle any civil suit before it goes to court, where I'm sure Gallo does not.

I'm sure Stallworth is looking at a minimum eight game suspension for the upcoming season though.

8 game suspension? I think Roger is going to suspend him for the whole 2009-2010 season. Maybe even longer. Didn't Stallworth leave the scene too Pmoe?

No. Stallworth stayed and called the cops and faced what was going to happen to him like a man. Now the only 30 days in jail is BS. But they said they only gave hhim that because he didn't flea, had a clean record before and took full resposiblity for the whole thing. But also witht he 30 days he gets 2 years house arrest, 8 years probatioin, his license taken for life and has to have drug and alcohol testing

If he was a man, he wouldn't have been drunk that night and took someone's life.

Also if this was a blonde 6 year old girl named Cassie, and not a 60 year old man on his way out, Stallworth would have gotten at least 10 years.

Haha I don't think so baja, he only got thirty days because he has lots of money. Eight games suspended isn't enough he deserves atleast two years if you ask me. Killing someone is lot worst than Adam Jones's achohol abuse and he got a year off. Adam Pacman Jones got in a couple fights, but never killed anyone. Donte Stallworth should be atleast gone from the league for atleast two years and then maybe reinstate him but this is bull if you ask me.
