"Before tonight's ROH on HDNET taping Ric Flair came to the ring to a huge standing ovation. He puts over the Philadelphia crowd and their enthusiasm, respect, and wildness. He talks about how he came to ROH three months ago to become ROH Ambassador, but he wants to be straight with the crowd and tell the fans that he's decided to go back to WWE, which surprisingly got applause from the crowd. He put over the company and how hard everyone works to bring a good product to the fans, but he realizes that he belongs in WWE and that's where he wants to finish his career. He thanks the fans for accepting him as part of Ring Of Honor and tells everyone to keep supporting ROH."
Flair has been in ROH for the last three or so months serving as a "ROH Ambassador" and they originally had him setup in a small feud with Larry Sweeney but he ended up literally going off the deep end. Then moved him onto a brief war of words with former ROH Champion Nigel McGunniess. He obviously was not wrestling for ROH.
Watching Flair put off his retirement like this hurts, much like watching Dan Severn pick up 88th career MMA win at the tender age of 50 (51 in a week!) in what looked to be a high school gym with a cage in the middle of it.
These two guys are examples of guys who just don't know when to give in.
