My biggest fear is that he may be rushed up to the bigs too soon.
I've seen his stuff, and know what he's capable of doing, but pitching is more confidence then anything else.
It doesen't matter how good your stuff is, if you don't trust it you will get shelled.
How's he going to face an offensive or a batter that can hit him? What will his answer be?
Many young pitchers have failed to come up with a good answer with stuff almost as good as Strausburg's.
I just don't want this guy to be the next Todd Van Poppel.
With that being said though he does have great stuff, and if there was ever a pitcher who was ready to make the jump straight from college to the pros without any minor league starts it's this guy.
Still how ready is he to handle major league hitting? I don't know.
Strasburg is going to be a stud...Dude hits 104 on the gun...According to his manager at SDSU HOF Tony Gwynn he hasnt really learn how to pitch yet..Strasburg will be up with the Nats pitching in July!
Uh Steven there are no more Expose they are now the Nationals, but if you can throw over 100 miles an hour then you could have a pretty decent career. Even if Steven has ball control issue in the MLB he'll just be another pitcher that floats from team to team and just pitches ok.

Or maybe he refuses to call them the Nationals for some reason.
But i think this kid is for real IF he uses his stuff smart and the Nats don't over use him. If they end up pitching him way to much as such a young kid he could end up have shoulder problems whihc would be horrible to see considering this kid can throw that 100+ MPH heat

well the thing is will he be able to throw that fast in the majors and locate is pitches. if not he will have to compromise speed for location and then he turns into maybe like a justin verlander
I call them the Expos and will continue to call them the Expos until I can name a handfull of their players off the top of my head. BTW.. Handfull = Five.
Let's give it a try off the top of my head: Adam Dunn, Ryan Zimmerman, Elijah Dukes, does Lastings Milledge still play for them?
That's 3 1/2 players I can come up with.
