Gary Sheffield was cut from the Tigers today. He has 499 homers. Is it the end of the road for him?

most likely unless a AL team wants a new DH that doesnt have a real good DH

this is just the first of many salary dumps that are coming for the tigers this season. if i were to guess, i would say either rangers or rays. rangers because they like sigging old players who can hit and rays because they would like another veteran bat in the line-up

Why Peter Gammons sucks:

Exhibit A:

Sunday March 29th, Gammons says on SportsCenter that Sheffield's shoulder is feeling much better, and the he fully anticipates him to return to the 30 home run player the Tigers originally thought they were getting.

Tuesday March 31st, Gary Sheffield is released from the Tigers.

Pmoehrin thank you for this that guy is so biased to the Red Sox its not even funny, Peter Gammons is the worst reporter I know he is unfair everything is Boston.

Being pro- Boston is saying it midly, the Mets really only did this because they woant to say that they were the franchise that had Gary Sheffilsld hit his 500th homerun
