Robert Powell pulled over Texas running back Ryan Moats and Robert Powell wouldn't let him go see his dieing mother and law and she passed away and Ryan Moats couldn't see her due to the insensititvity shown by the officer Robert Powell. Now Powell is now left the police force he apologized. What do you guys think of this?

First off it wasn't his mother, it was his wife's mother a.k.a his mother in law. How was the cop supposed to know if he was telling the truth or lying? The cop has probably pulled over hundreds of people that say their house is burning, or someone is dying.
But its the fact that the hospital people confirmed that yes, Moats mother in law was really dying. Powell still wouldn't let Moats go until he wrote a running a red light ticket, which took him about 10 minutes to do.

Yah what a loser if I was the cop I would feel really bad, he has people telling him his mother in law is dying and he just doesn't care what a inhumane act by Powell.

i actually agree with baja. the cop didnt know if he was tellling the truth or just wanted to get out of getting a ticket. and bob im sure he feels terrible but how was he supposed to know?

I will say this again, the hospital crew came out and told the officer that his mom is dying.

This is the second time he's done something like this. Before he pulled over Zach Thomas's wife for some reason and wouldn't let he go even though she didn't do anything. This guys has some major problems and should be fired

Sometimes cops pull people over because they are bored. Here's an example, a cop pulled me over on the highway because I was 5 miles under the speed limit. I'm not lying thats actually true.
