Jay Cutler

If you ask me, this whole situation is just dumb. Cutler should stop being a baby and realize the NFL is a business. My question is: Is Cutler going to play in 09 with the Broncos? What do u think?

I think this is going to end up just like the Chad Johnson thing last year.

cutler is a franchise quarterback. the broncos shouldnt trade him and if they do, they are idiots. i think in some way they will sort things out and he will play for denver

I don't think he will but like Baja said if he isn't traded he could end up via a Chad Johnson esc situation where he dosn't want to be there and won't play to the best of his ablity.

They aren't going to win many games if Cutler walks. Who is his backup? Isn't it like Patrick Ramsey?

Sounds right to me. Unless they draft a QB in the draft that could come in and be better than Ramsey if Cutler ends up leaving

if your the broncos gm, and the jets offer you their 1st round and 4th round picks for jay cutler, would you make that move? keep in mind they can have a shot at getting mark sanches or josh frreman with that pick

Yeah if i have the chance of getting two picks for him take the risk. They are in the weakest division in Football and they could posibly win it with a rookie QB if their only real competion the Chagers have a bad season. I'd pull the trigger and take my chances on another young QB.

I have a hard time believing the Broncos are just going to let this guy walk out the door, after building the entire offense around him for the last 3 years.

I also find it interesting that Josh McDaniels has put himself in a situation where it's almost impossible to criticize him because he has no track record, and nobody is really sure about what his plans for the Broncos are.

I don't know under a salary cap system if it's even possible for Denver to get equal trade value for Cutler, because he is so valuable to that offense.  You're just not going to go out and get another QB like Jay Cutler.  It's impossible.

Even with draft picks, it's not equal value because Jay Cutler is a proven NFL QB, while you have no idea how the draft picks are going to turn out.

The only way Denver get an equal value deal is if they trade Cutler for another proven NFL star player, which is simply not going to happen.

I think that it is a possibility that Jay Culter goes to the Jets for the reasons that the Jets need a Quarterback.

They have Kellen Clemons on right now and I don't think he is capable of doing anything as a starting quarterback for the New York Jets.

As time goes on Cutler is seeming more and more like a player who wants to have his cake, and eat it too.

You can't make yourself unavailable, and then complain about the team not contacting you, which is exactly what he did.

Bottom line Jay Cutler wants out of Denver, while at the same time trying to make it seem like Denver wants to get rid of him.  It's the only thing that seems to make sense in all of this media circus that Cutler has created.

I'm a Bronco fan, and didn't like it very much when Mel Kiper called him the second coming of Jeff George, but the more this goes on, the more I think Mel is on to something.
