TO to Buffalo.....CO isnt going to Buffalo again.

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Terrell Owens has found a new team, signing Saturday with the Buffalo Bills only two days after the high-maintenance receiver was cut by the Dallas Cowboys.

Owens caught 69 passes for 1,052 yards and 10 touchdowns last season, but the Cowboys were looking to improve the atmosphere in the locker room and decided they would be better off without him.

"I'm leaving America's team (for) North America's team," Owens said at a news conference.

The Bills will be Owens' fourth team, after starting with San Francisco, bouncing to Philadelphia -- where he helped the Eagles get to a Super Bowl -- and then Dallas.

"I must move on, and it's another beginning for me," Owens said. "If I can be that extra added piece to get them to the playoffs, then that's what I'm here for. I looked at the defensive side of ball and offensive side of the ball, and these guys have all the pieces."

The Bills were in need of a receiver to take the pressure from Lee Evans. They got one of the biggest names out there.

The question now is how T.O. will deal with Trent Edwards, who is only entering his second full year as starter. Owens has made life difficult for quarterbacks in the past and joins an offense that struggled mightily last year.

The Bills were 25th in the NFL in yards gained and failed to have a 300-yard passer. The offense has been a perennial problem. It has ranked 25th or lower in each of the past six seasons.

Coach Dick Jauron has often complained about the Bills' lack of scoring punch, but this represents a serious change in philosophy for a team that in the past has tried to avoid taking on disruptive locker room personalities.

Buffalo certainly needs a boost. The Bills have missed the playoffs for nine straight seasons, the longest drought in team history. The Bills are also coming off three straight 7-9 finishes under Jauron, who was retained by the team after his three-year contract expired at the end of the season.

I think this is a pretty good fit for TO. If Edwards can throw for 25 TDs or more, they will have an amzing O. Lynch,Edwards,Evans, and TO. They will be a 8-8 or 9-7 team, just as long as they don't have to put in JP Zohan at QB.

Good for the Bills they now have a Wide Reciever that can help them or hurt them which ever way he wants to be. Terrell Owens is making 6.5 million dollars over one year and 4 of it is guaranteed.

This one came out of the blue. I really expected him to go to a bigger name team and a betterteam. The Bills now have the offense that could do good and score a lot of points but the Defense is the question

I thought that the Raiders would come out and snag him, but big move for the BIlls TO has 139 touchdown recepitons second to only Jerry Rice and he has 951 receptions tied for fifth with a Bills Legend ANdre Reed.

It makes sense for Buffalo.  They're a good team that needs great players if they are to get to the next level.

They needed to take a chance if they expect to compete with New England, and they really don't have a big threat at the Wide Out position.

It's also only a one year deal, and as I said before in a previous post I'm sure a team can put up with his antics for a season as long as he shows up to play everyday, which Owens always has.

Badnewsman I think for what they are paying him I think its a good deal for them. They have a very good chance now to make the playoffs, and after the season who knows maybe they just don't re sign him and thats the end of the Terrel Owens era in Buffalo.

The biggest problem with the Bills last year was the lack of a passing game.

The signing of Owens gives that passing attack instant credibility now, which is exactly what the Bills need to get to the next level.

It is time to put up or shut up with Trent Edwards.   He's had a year and a half to get acclimated to the offense, and so far he's been nothing more then an average starting QB.  Granted he hasn't had much around him, but with Owens there's no more excuses.  If Trent can't get it done this year Buffalo may want to look for a replacement.

This is a very big year coming up for Buffalo, a team that's been on the cusp of the playoffs for about 3 years now but can't quite break through.

This is the best team they've had since the late 90's.  If they can't win this year, they won't win next year either, so you might as well blow the team up and start from scratch.

If they do win this year however, you could see Buffalo become a force to be reckon with in the NFL once again.

i agree with baja, if the bills want to compete, their qb needs to step up. u guys are saying t.o adds a good weapon to this offesne but dont they have lee evans? and marshawn lynch? bottomline is that they could add all the weapons they want, they need edwards to step up

Trent Edwards isn't a bad Quarterback, but just like in college he gets injured a lot and can't finish a season in the NFL.

If Edwards can step up and play to the ability he has and not get hurt then the bills should make it to the playoffs pretty easily

i think the offensive line needs to protect Edwards and Edwards will also need to step up. and Edwards is a Average qb and has potential if he can stay healthy and if they line can protect him.

So what does it take not to be an average QB in the NFL? What come out and throw for like 4000 yards 30 TD's and 15 Picks. I dont think so. I think to not be an average QB you need to lead your team to the playoffs which Edwards hasn't done yet but i wouldn't be surprised to see them make it this year cause the offense gets the lift from TO
