A-Rod is questionable for the WBC due to a cyst on his hip. Cysts are bad, but only requires a very simple surgery to remove, and that's worst case scenairo. That's what A-Rod is trying to find out right now, which will put him out of the WBC if it does, but he should be fine by the start of the regular season.
The one I'm really worried about especially being a Met fan is Johan Santana not being available for opening day.
Santana says it's just some stiffness but I'm almost positive this guy is hiding something. He is just way too reluctant to go in for an MRI not to be.
Mets also said Billy Wanger just had some stiffness too, but after a month of trying to come back, oh wait, turns out he needs Tommy John surgery and will miss all of next year.
I'm not buying anything the Mets say right now when it comes to Santana's health until I see an MRI that gives him a clean bill of health.
