Hogan versus Andre at Wrestlemania III was all hype, and was a terrible wrestling match.

You had two high spots the entire match, and the rest of the match sucked, because Andre could hardly move, and Hogan couldn't wrestle.

Hogan slamming Andre was the only thing that saved that match, and that's the only thing that can be used to justify why it was a great match, which is wasn't, because one move doesen't make a great match, no matter how memorable it may be.

Shame on whoever voted for that as their top three.  Watch some more tapes, or watch the Steamboat Savage match earlier in the night.  That's a match that I'll believe as being a top three match.  It wasn't one of my choices, but I'll buy an argument for that over Hogan and Andre any day.

I don't think Lesnar/Angle or Austin/Michaels should be on the list either, but everything else is okay.

I'm also ashamed I didn't find out about this sooner, because Hogan Warrior is better then about half the matches on this list, and shouldn't have been kicked off.

Also why wasn't Savage/Warrior at Wrestlemania VII included in the initial voting, or better yet Flair Michaels at last year's Wrestlemania, or even Batista Undertaker from two years ago?

In retrospect it is my fault for not finding out about this sooner, but come on people.  How can somebody leave those matches off the list, but give the nod to Orton/Undertaker at Wrestlemania 21, which was above average at best with quality.

On a side note my choices were Benoit/Triple/HBK at 20, Michaels/Ramon at 10, and HBK/Hart at 12.  I'm not even a big HBK fan, but he is Mr. Wrestlemania.  That much is for sure.  I mean half the matches on this list are matches with Shawn Michaels.

Um Pmoerhin as the shame I have to say I loved that match pretty much for that reason. If you ask me the best wrestling was in the 90's and in the 80's you had many wrestling promotions that flat out sucked. Their choreography for the matches back then were just disgraceful with AWA and UWF.

pmoehrin you missed out on the nominations, those who nominated matches in time got their matches on the list. While I agree with you on many points, I think that most guys on these forums only were able to see matches from the Wrestlemania's in the last decade. Anything before WM15 is forgotten in the minds of some here just cause it wasn't during their time watching wrestling.

Look at Bob333 saying wrestling in the 80s sucked. The AWA certinately did not suck nor did Mid-South/UWF. All because they weren't part of the McMahon enterprises doesnt mean they sucked.

Him saying matches in the 80s were disgraceful cause they had no choreograpghy...he certinately is forgetting any Ric Flair/Ricky Steamboat/Curt Henning/Randy Savage/Nick Bockwinkel etc. of the time. Those matches in the 80s truly told stories.

I ought to have your head shaved Bob for saying Mid South/UWF sucked. I grew up on it and although they didnt have the "spot monkeys" of today, their matches told a story. The storylines back then were far more believable and enticing than the ones today.

For a short time the UWF was considered the best promotion from a wrestling perspective in the world.

My personal favorite was the WCCW for old school promotions that have died.

The WWE has a DVD about it, and while it is good, I woud recommend Heroes of World Class instead.

WCCW did things that took ten years for other companies to emulate.

Problem with WCCW was their top talent started dying.

I guarentee you if David Von Erich had lived we would be talking about him in the same breath as Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair for being the greatest wrestler of his generation.

Hey listen I'm not saying all of them are bad, but considered to what they do now, I think that the UWF and AWA just don't live up to the WWE or WCW back in the 90's thats all I m

My grandma got me into wrestling by letting me watch WCCW. The Freebirds, The Von Erichs, Iceman King Parsons, Gino hernandez, Chris Adams....all greats

The Von Erich tragedy is just a shame, imagine how big they would have been, taking nothing away that they were already in big success.
