Colts release Marvin Harrison

An era ended today in Indy as the Colts released long time Wide Reciever Marvin Harrison. Obviously this was a cost cutting move by the Colts. What are your thoughts on this move by the Colts?

its not very surprising, harrison was the #3 reciever on that team, and he's way past his prime. he had a hall-of-fame career in indy with peyton manning, so i dont think he has much more to play for, so i think he might retire

If Harrison were to retire don't you think he'd do it in a Colts uniform? I believe this was a move where the Colts didnt have plans for Harrison in the scheme of things for the future and Harrison feels he still has something left in the tank.

i think Marvin will move to the Disappointing Detroit Lions to help out in the passing game with Calvin.

i wouldnt be surprised if he went to his hometown and played for philly. as an eagles fan i wouldnt be thrilled by signing him because hes just another average reciever going into an average recieving group.

Marvin is still better then at least half the wide outs in the NFL, so I think he will sign with somebody.

Well i don't think it's a question of if he'll sign with a team but how effective he'll be with that team.

If he can stay healthy, he will probably get 40 catches and 4 TDs

True but that's a big if.

I agree that Marvin Harrison can still be a force on anyone's team. I'd love to see Harrison go to a team where he can mentor a young up and coming wide reciever. I could see him in Arizona (If Boldin does indeed leave), Seattle (If they draft Crabtree) or Philly.

He will be a great fit for any team in the NFL.
