Goodbye Tony Dungy

Tony Dungy announced his retirement Monday afternoon. He truly was one of the greatest head coaches in the history of the NFL. He may not have all the wins of Don Shula, or the Championships of Vince Lombardi, but he took his teams to the playoffs 10 straight years. A task that no coach had ever done. He won a Super Bowl against my Bears, but I respect the guy. He took over a historically bad Bucs team and turned them into a defensive power house. And today he said goodbye, so I decided to start this topic as way to pay tribute and say farewell to one of the best head coaches in the league.

Well i guess you could say as a Colts hater i wouldn't like Dungey but that man has my ut most respect. He did alot of great things for the NFL. He was the first black coach and the first black coach to win a superbowl. He did take a once terrible Bucs team to supremacy then handed them over to Gruden and he won them a super bowl. He moves to Indy and then is matched with one of if not the best QB all time in Peyton Manning and he did great things with them leading them to an 85-27 Record with him coaching and lead them to 7 staright playoff births. Hes a great man and i hope he decides to come back to coaching. And to answer you Question SG they already ahve their coach who they had in waiting.

Yea, I know I'm supposed to hate him because he beat my Bears in the Super Bowl. But I just can't do it. He's too much of a good guy for me not to respect him.

I'll miss tony he was a class act and a great coach. He proved that muce guys don't finish last and you get more out of your players by not screaming at them.

Haha yea Lovie Smith is a good coach, he's doing great with his defense like normally. Lovie is a great coach, but he isn't as good as a winner as Tony Dungy.

Lovie is not doing great with his defense. He let arguably the best defensive coordinator in the league Ron Rivera go, and promoted Bob Babich because he's friends with him. Although Lovie has come to his senses about the D now. Kinda. He hired Rod Marinelli as D-Line coach, which I actually like a lot. And he said he's gonna be more involved with the defensive play calling. Next step is to fire Bob Babich then turn his focus to the offense and fire Ron Turner, and maybe get some wide receivers, maybe try to draft Jeremy Maclin or Percy Harvin.

Rod Marineli was a really good assistant coach and DL coach at Tampa Bay, he just got a bad team in Detroit.
