Brewers. The Mets are to inconsistant and the bull pen is getting worked to much and they are going to run out of arms. The Offense for them is still really good. They can't win the close important games. The Brewers SP's need to step up over the next few days and win their starts. They get one more start out of CC on Sunday i believe wihich if they arn't in yet should get them in.

Im sticking to my guns and staying with the Brewers, but you guys gotta stop jinxing my Phillies. They havnt won anything yet and stranger things have happened. If they do go it will be their first back to back postseasons since 80-81.

At least the Mets gotta play the Fish. I'll take the Nats any day of the week. I just wish they would have set the rotation with Moyer going on Sunday, I'd rather pitch the guy whos done it before.

Ok so it looks like the mets are falling appart again. The Brewers take a one game lead in the NL Wild Card after winning tonight. The Mets are now down 2 1/2 behind the Phillies in the AL East after Ryan Howard and his HR and 4 RBI's lead the Phillies to the win tonight

Yes i had been drinking when i posted that. And i always knew the Phillies would win the NL East. Now its time for the Brewers to ride the big man CC Sabathia into the playoffs.

Maybe we'll have another 1 game playoff for the NL Wildcard

That would be pretty interesting. If it does happen i think i might have to give the upper hand to the mets depends on the day it is cause they could have Santana pitch then

1 game playoff I believe is Monday at Shea if necessary. If there is a playoff it doesnt bode well for the Brewers, they would have to travel to Shea, and if they win would have to travel to Philly for first game on Wednesday.

Yea well CC has had a few bad starts lately. Hes lost two of his last three starts. Hes going against some guy that is making his first start for the Cubs to rest Zambrano some more for the playoffs. The Mets have a tougher game vs he Marlins who can score alot of runs any day. There is a chance both of them win or both of them lose and then they play a game at Shea on monday to see who moves on like last season. But i still like the Brewers and CC to make the playoffs over the Mets.

thats your opionion but you know as I do that they have to travel to Shea and they won't do to well and they can't start CC Sabathia who has been there only pitcher that has won for them and now he has been struggling of late so you never know but I still like the Mets because they look better. And I think that the Brewers have a tougher game because they are playing the Cubs and the Cubs are probaly the best team in the MLB

I will tell you right now the Cubs arn't the best team in baseball. the best team in baseball are the Los Angelas Angles. It dosn't matter if they can't start CC two days in a row he is still pitching tonmrrow and he is a big game pitcher. The mets havn't looked that good and the bullpen still sucks even though Santana gave them a rest today none of the other starters are pitchiong as well as Santana and they can't start him on Monday if they have to play again

K Rod wont run out of gas. He hasn't pitched as much after they clinched the division and he is going to be rested for then. and even in the regular season he didn't pitch alot of inninges every day. he would pitch one a day so he will be fine. They ahve one of the most explosive offenses and posibly the best rotation with Lackey, Santana, Saunders and Garland. They have a tough matchup with the Red Soxs in the first round so that should be interesting to see how they play

Ha watch in the playoffs look at bobby Thigpen after what happend after his magical season he was never the same. K Rod will be the same.

Thigpen also pitched alot more innings in his record breaking season, somewhere in the area of 17 innings, for a closer that could be 17 appearences. KRod is the money closer in baseball today and your Mets may very well be in the running to sign him. KRod is also alot younger than Thigpen was. Let's face it, all the rest in world wont help that Mets bullpen. I hope you like Oliver Perez with the season on the line. Why would the Mets want the postseason just to be embarrassed by the Cubs. Its the way I felt with the Phillies last year as bad as their bullpen was.

Ha yah i know that the Mets are in thr running for K ROd I am not sure that is the best decision but your right the Mets need bullpen help but we have Billy Wagner we need a Setup man and better Middle relievers. The Mets will do fine against the Cubs if we get swept oh well that stinks but if I remember the Mets haven't gotten to the playoffs that much but more times than none they have made it past the first round.

Billy Wagner is out all of next season ebcuase of tommy john surgery. And even if they do get Krod that wont solve the whole bull pen problem. That will only help with the Closer problem

the Mets don't have a closing problem they have a setup problem and middle reliver problems

What the hell are you talking about? After they lost Wagner they were having troubles saving games. Their guys were coming in with a big lead and blowing it. They were doing a closer by committie and it came down to whoever was pitching the best. Yes they do have set up and middle releif problems but thhey need a closer more than anything else.

yah I know that but when they get him back they will be fine I don't think the Mets are going to shell out 15 million dollars just to get a closer.

They wont be getting Billy Wagner back. Hes out all of next season next year is the last year on his contract with the Mets. I think its going to cost a little more than 15 mill to get Krod. and you can't forget bout all the other free agents that are going to be on the market like Mark Texiera for example who is going to get paid alot of money by soemone

Texeria to the Yankees and KRod to the Mets. You have to figure the two highest profile players will go to New York teams. Yes the Mets will pay because they can.

I dont think i can see that happening. I think Texeria will stay with the Angles and Krod will end up going to a team like the Cards or someone who also has close problems. Whoever offers him the most money and has the best team is the team he will pick

And the Mets BULL PEN blows another game and they are out of the playoffs. Not very much of a surprsie that the Brewers made it. They are the better team and CC is pitching like a CY Young award winner right now.

No, its all about the money, he already turned down an extension from the Angels who were the best team in baseball. Sorry Bob, better luck next year.

So the Mets go out and get a three hit shutout on short rest by Santana. The next day they go out and the bull pen blows yet another game. CC comes in for his third straight start on three days rest and thorws a CG and gets the Brewers into the playoffs. The Brewers arn't going to be any easy team in the aplyoffs. They got good pitching with CC and Ben Sheets is he is able to pitch for them Many Para who they will use had a great season and the Bull pen is soild and the power with Braun and Fielder is going to be leathal.

The only problem for the Brewers is CC probably wont pitch til game 3 and Sheets didnt look all that great on Saturday and have to go back to Philly where they were swept in a 4 game series that culminated in their manager being fired. However a wildcard team has reached the WS in 6 of the last 7 years.

So what happened to your mets bob? Choke job AGAIN!!!! I love it! 26 f***ing years and we're finally in. I'm so pumped to watch the phillies brewers series wednesday. Gallardo is pitching game 1, cc game 2, and not sure on game 3. Sheets is out for the year but o well... he's been slipping ever since august. He's never going to play another game in a brewers uniform again. Gallardo is back and healthy which is great. Game 1 will be fun to watch but CC vs. Myers?? CC has it in the bag. His pitching performance these last two months has been one of the greatest performances of our time. Brewers vs. Cubs in the NLCS will be classic.

id hate to burst your bubble cheesy but i think the phillies are gonna win that series. they will probably lose the c.c start(s) but whats gonna happen when its 3-3 in the 7th and both starters are out. which bullpen are you gonna trust more? the phillies. which offense is more explosive? the phillies. if it was a 7 game series with sabathia pitching more than the brewers would have a better shot. but as it stands i think the phillies are gonna win in 4

have you seen what the brewers have done the past week and a half?? Now it seems they win all the close games. Fielder hits a walk home run. Braun hits a walk off grand slam. Weeks hits a 3 run home run in the 8th to break a tie with the cubs. Braun hits a 2 run home run in the 8th to break a tie with the cubs. And the bullpen held it down every single time. I'm going with the brewers.

yeah theyve won impressively when they did win. their just lucky that the mets choked and played horrible baseball down the stretch or else they would be out of the playoffs despite the walk offs

your right on that one. from what we've seen from sports in general the past 5 years from george mason making it to the final 4, red sox overcoming a 3-0 defecit to beat the yankees, or the giants beating the patriots, anything can happen
