I can not believe no one has started this thread yet.. So here I am..
First round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs has been nothing but, as Blackhawks coach Joel Quenville put it, dramatical.
Saturday The Blackhawks played the Predators in one of the most intense games I have ever seen as a hockey fan.
The Hawks scored on a short-handed goal with 13.6 seconds left in regulation to tie it up. Then grabbed the victory with a clutch goal by Marian Hossa.
Then there was tonight, the Canadiens pulled off possibly the biggest upset in NHL history by defeating the Washington Capitals. After being down in the series 3-1 the Habs fought back on the shoulders of Jaroslav Halak who stood on his head the entire game making 41 saves on the way to the Habs 2-1 victory in game seven to stun the Caps.
What are your thoughts? Who are you rooting for in the playoffs? What are your predictions for round 2?

The reason why there has been no thread is because frankly we have shunned any hockey forum on this site for quite sometime lol.
Listen I'm not the biggest hockey fan but I have been watching SC so I'm going to try and mutter through this to throw my 2 cents in.
First off the NHL should be applauded for their playoffs thus far as they have a 4, 6, 7 and 8 seed advancing on the Eastern side of the playoffs...that is insane. You NEVER see that in sports.
I'll take the Pens, Bruins, Hawks and Sharks. I'm not a hockey fan. I watch games to get a kick out of it or for the hell of it to say i did. But i know enough to say the Pens now with the Caps gone are the favorites to win the east. The Hawks and Sharks would eb a hell of a series to see in the West finals and i think even though i'm pullin for the Hawks now that the Sharks would win that witht he hawks lack between the pipes.
