# 28?

As a Yankees fan, it should be said that the offseason has been full of surprises. i never would have thought javier vazquez and nick johnson would again be in yankee pinstripes. i also never would have thought they would get ride of one of their best hitters (damon) and the world series mvp (matsui), or that they would get curtis granderson. even with all of these moves, its hard to say that this yankee team is better than last years. especially with boston, tampa, and baltimore getting better, the yankees might be in for a rude awakening. so my question to the forums are will the yankees repeat as world champs?

Only time will tell, I still think that the Mariners are about to improve a bunch, but my favorite to win the World Series right now is the Phillies, they have great pitching and good hitting even though they lost CLiff Lee I can still see them making the WOrld Series.

I don't think the Yankees will be quite as dominating as they were last year, but if you look at that team, the core guys that made up that World Series winning team last year are still there for the most part.

Unless they come down with a rash of injuries, or another team really steps up their game, I cannot pick anyone but the Yankees to win it all.

I think its down to the Red Sox and Yankees again...The angels are down this year and I think the Phils will find it harder this year.....St. Louis doesnt have as strong as pitching in the past and the Dodgers are so up and down

Don't forget those underdogs from 2 years ago, the Rays. Its hard to believe that was 2 years ago.
