Note that the last two times Canada hosted the winter olympics they didn't win one gold medal.
Keep your eyes on the Luge competition this year. They have been racing on one of the fastest and most dangerous tracks ever invented. Sadly, a Georgian luger died during a practice run when he flipped off his board coming off a turn and hit his head right on an unpadded steel beam.
Keep your eyes on the Alpine Skiing competition this year. US sensation Lindsey Vonn has a shot at her first olympic gold medal this year but has been set back by an injury she suffered during practice.
Keep your eyes on the Snowboarding competition this year. Shaun White, Shaun White, Shaun WHITE! What can't he do? Will we see another crazy trick come out of his hat (erm hair). Also Lindsey Jacobellis will be trying NOT to showboat too early this year after losing gold 2 years ago on a meaningless trick attempt that she crashed on during the downhill racing.
And of course, keep your eyes on the Hockey competition this year. Can Sidney Crosby lead Canada to their first gold medal as a host country? Or will Alex Ovechkin and Evgeni Malkin shut them down and bring Russia another gold? Or will the upstart US team led my goalie Ryan Miller surprise everyone?

I try to guess with my friends, if they're gay or not
Anyone see how the Koreans were about to sweep the podium at the Men's speed skating and then one took the other one out and Apollo Anton Ohno got his sixth Olyimpic Medal while Jr. Seltsky finished third for bronze.

That was crazy. Those two are going to get killed when they get back to South Korea.
Also, the Canadian home gold drought continues. Jen Heil (Moguls skiier) was their 3rd best shot at getting a gold medal but finished with silver instead. Looks like hockey and curling are going to have to step up and finally win one on home soil.

So USA ends up with the most medals ever. Canada ends up with the most Gold medals ever (unfortunately the final one was in hockey).
Did you guys watch the game? US down by 2. Comes back with 24 seconds left and takes it to OT. Only fitting that Crosby of all people scores the final goal.

Ryan Miller just became the face of US hockey.......people will remember this tourney for years (at least 4 until the next olympics) because of his play.....its a shame we didnt get the gold because of his play alone.

2014 could be something different. We have a much younger team than the Candians. Kane and Parise are only going to get better. USA could actually be a medal contender rather than an underdog.
