I was watching the Las Vegas bowl and at the bottom it was showing scores and such... normal right? then The Lead came. and it said Childress had a expletive talk with Favre in private after Carolina game. and Possibly might sit Favre the next 3 games..
I say Childress would be stupid right here. yes u rest ur starting QB. but u dont mess with Favre and his consective starts and they should go after the Home Field advantage they still can win it fromt he saints. and if u go with Tarvius Jackson or Sage Rosenfiels u might just be a Wild card team. anything is possible
Well you get what you pay for, and the Vikings knew exactly what they were getting themselves into when they brought in Brett Favre.
If you asked Brett Favre which meant more to him, winning a Super Bowl, or that starts streak, if he was being honest with himself he would say the streak is more important, because he thinks he can do both. The thought of if I rest myself and save my energy I'll be better for the playoffs is non-existent to him.
I'd be willing to give him a little benefit of the doubt if I were a Viking fan, simply because there are alot of QB's out there who Carolina can make look bad, but I would definately be keeping an eye on him.
It's not like Tavaris Jackson is the worst QB in the world either. He was making some significant improvements last year before Minnesota decided it was best to throw him under the bus, and put all the blame on him for last year's failures.
I would be very nervous if I was a Viking fan right now, because I'm not so sure I have faith in Brett Favre at this point.
Who's to say he's not hiding another injury?
Should Brett Favre be benched, I'm towards yes on this one. Will he? Unless he has to be carted off the field, no.

I disagree with Pmoe on benching him, he had one game where he threw 1 INT and 0 TDs, and everybody is acting like he has Cancer.
Well, it's not just one game. He hasn't done much of anything in the past three, and he has a history of faltering late in the season, including last year where he had no business being out there the last five games of the season, but was too proud to come out even though he was doing his team more harm then good at that point.
I will say that Carolina does have one of the best passing defenses in the NFL, and I don't think many QB's could do much against Chicago on the road this late into the year, so it may not be just Brett Favre getting old.
It's a dumb argument anyway though. He's not coming out unless like I said he's carted off. He's way to proud, but like I said before the Vikings knew exactly what they were getting into when they signed him. Anything he does to hurt the team in that fashion is on management's heads just as much as it's on Brett's.
