Well ladies and gentlemen, I am appalued to see what happend the the Bulls. They had a 35 point lead and somehow blow it to the Kings. I have to say Beno Udrith, from what I saw, played very good for the Kings, he got the shooters the ball and distributed very well. The Bulls can blame this on, well it's more than one person, they need to blame this on everyone. Unfornately, now Vinny Del Negro is on the hot seat as the Bulls go to 10-16 on the year. There is a high probability that if Vinny and his team don't have a good performance tonight he could be fired.

The Bulls have been one of, if not the most dissapointing team in the NBA.
Tyrus Thomas who looked like he was on the verge of becoming a breakout player appears to have regressed, as has Derrick Rose.
John Salmons who provided such a spark to the Bulls last year has gone back to being the average player he was with Philadelphia and Sacramento, and Brad Miller has been nothing short of a complete waste of life.
The only Bulls player who I can see that has made any marked improvement from last year is Joakim Noah, who's becoming a very solid 10/10 guy.
Watching Del Negro I would have been willing to give him the benefit of the doubt up until the press conference last night. Watching that he just looked like a deer lost in the headlights.
I didn't think Scott Skiles deserved to be fired, but I do think Del Negro does.
Not sure who the Bulls would hire to replace him though. Biggest names I can come up with for potential candidates would be Rudy Tomjanovich, Sam Mitchell, Avery Johnson, and Brian Hill. Beyond that your looking at mostly no name assistants.

The Kings are the most improved team in the NBA. Its because they have the best rookie in the league. Tyreke Evans. Hes going to win rookie of the year and knows how to lead a team. And mind you they are still winning without their best player Kevin Martin who is out hurt

Del Negro is a good guy but has horrible game management skills. There is no excuse for blowing a 35 pt lead at home midway through the 3rd quarter. The Bulls are not very good and even in the horrible Eastern Conference probably want make the playoffs
I think they got too relaxed yes but also they were short on guys and some of the guys had been playing most of if not all the game so they had to be getting tired down the strech there

Well aparently the Bulls front office as well had also seen enough from Mr. Del Negro, and according to several media outlets it's only a matter of time before he is shown the door.
Just from the names being thrown around right now, I think the two best hires for Chicago would be either Avery Johnson, or Lawrence Frank, neither of whom I thought deserved to be fired from their respective jobs.
Sam Mitchell wouldn't be that bad of a choice either.
Never been a big Van Gundy fan though (either one of them, although I think Stan has shown alot of improvement from his Miami gig).
I would too, but I don't think the Chicago job would be a good fit for him. I know he has alot of experience to draw from his playing days, but it seems what this team needs is a good kick in the ass, and I'm not sure he's the guy to do that.
Well this the same team pretty much didnt respond to the ultimate kick in the ass Scott Skiles and they arent responding to Del Negro who is a players coach so why not give Ewing a shot
You know I really don't know why the Bulls decided to fire Skiles. (Actually I think I do know, because I don't think John Paxson is that dumb enough to actually think a coach the quality of Scott Skiles was the problem. My bet is the call came from Reinsdorf as is often the case whenever good head coaches are fired. Also nobody is ever going to give you heat as a GM for firing a coach with a losing record, so it's also a way of ensuring GM's keep their jobs for the time being.)
When he came in the Bulls were one of the worst teams in the NBA, and the next year they were in the playoffs.
I think it was a classic case of bringing in a new voice just for the sake of bringing in a new voice which almost never works.
I thought Skiles got the absoulte most out of that team, and is doing a fairly good job up in Milwaukee right now, another team that had been doing nothing until he got there.
As for why not Ewing all I can say is see my previous post. I don't have anything more to say then that. If you disagree then you disagree. No point going back and forth over the same thing.

I dont disagree with you I just dont know if Frank or Johnson is that kick in the pants type of guy. What do you think of Doug Collins, Mike Fratello, or Mark Jackson leaving the booth to go coach the Bulls? Skiles is a great coach and is trying to improve a Bucks team who is struggling now but will be a pretty good team next year
I think Lawrence Frank did what he could with that Nets team. That team had been going down for years. They were looking to trade Jason Kidd for years for reasons of which I have no idea. Don't ask me how the Nets thought trading away a Hall of Fame point guard still with a good amount of skill left was going to improve their team, but whatever.
I actually spoke to Derek Kellog about Frank, and he had nothing but good things to say about him. Plus he comes from the school of Bobby Knight, so I think he knows how to give a kick in the pants.
Johnson was always seen as one of the best on court leaders when he played, and I don't think a guy like that is going to put up for long with a player who doesen't hustle.
He came into a situation where it was almost harder to fail then succeed, but anyone who could do something Don Nelson couldn't, mainly getting essnetially the same team into the Finals is alright in my book.
