I'm not going to say anything but he did knock out Keith Jardine and sometimes Houstan finds away to lose to Kimbo, Kimbo is a joke that won't move from the bottom of the UFC.

I've got to go with Anderson Silva who hasn't lost a fight since the great flood, and along with GSP have proven themselves to be the two best pound for pound fighters in the UFC today in my opinion.
Lesnar is good, but I'm not even sure he's the best heavyweight out there.
But he brought intrest back to a division that basically died off when Coture and UFC had their issues.....Heavyweight and Light Heavyweight are the 2 biggest drawing classes in not only UFC but boxing as well....If you dont have a polarizing figure in those 2 classes, people lose intrest

Amen. If you ask someone today who knows nothing about MMA to name a pro fighter in the UFC they more then likely will say Lesnar. The guy will hopefully continue to take UFC to the next level if he comes back healthy.
How can you pick a guy to be MMA fighter of the year who has only fought once this year...Lesnar has only fought once and that was in July and now he is on the shelf indefinitely. Rampage Jackson has only fought once this year as well and should have lost a decision to Keith Jardine in March. Anderson Silva and Georges St Pierre both fought twice this year but what separates them is the quality off competition. Silva fought Thales Leites which quite possibly could go down as the worst title fight in history. Nobody would engage and they danced around the Octagon for 25 minutes. Silva did have a stunning KO over Forrest Griffin in August. GSP on the other hand had a mega fight against lightweight champ BJ Penn which Penn quit after the 4th round. He also dominated #1 contender Thiago Alves in July. I would also put Dan Henderson on this list. He beat both Rich Franklin and Michael Bispbing this year.
My Top 5:
Georges St. Pierre Dan Henderson Anderson Silva Vitor Belfort Lyoto Machida
Lesnar would have had a 2nd fight this year. I'm sticking with Lesnar as my choice because when people talk MMA today they are talking about that guy, he did more then fight once this year he brought it to the mainstream.
