I think most people are going with Kobe, simply because he won a title last year.

But teams win titles, not individual players, and right now without question the best player in the NBA in my opinion is LeBron James.

How many guys in the NBA are capable of average 7+ rebounds, and assists?  That number would be one player long.

On top of that he's starting to become one of the best perimeter players in the game, and is an outstanding defensive player.
