Bantamweight champion and top 5 PFP fighter in the world Miguel Torres (36-1) was defeated by relative newcomer Brian Bowles (7-0) last night by 1st round KO. What makes this loss so stunning is that Torres was on a 17 fight win streak. It should be noted that Torres took 3-5 punches after he was out in what was a very late stoppage.
This just proves that one punch can change or end a fight for anyone.
Elsewhere on the card Dominick Cruz defeated Joe Benevides by decision for the next shot at Bowles.
