This guy so far has been nothing but a problem so far. He is willing to sit out the whole season right now, apparnetly this guy is really stubborn, and some rookies are blaming Crabtree for not signing with there team. So they're nine rookies that haven't signed with there team including Crabtree. Crabtree is willing to go to the draft next year. The 49ers need to either sign this guy now or try and get rid of him somehow.

Hes got the Talent to be the next Larry Fitzgerald. If he plays this dumb **** and skip this year and go into the draft again is assaningly stupid. He does deserve the money that Haywood-Bay got but i mean he was the 10 pick compared to the 7th for Bay. But he just needs to buck up and take the money. If he waits he won't be wanted as much and won't get as much money

I think there's no doubt that at the very least there needs to be a slotting system when it comes to salaries.
Myself I would rather the draft just be completely done away with, and just have all the rookies come in as regular free agents.
Right now alot of these guys are basing their salaries off the guys who signed directly above them, or below them.
It's like having all the negatives of a free market, combined with all the negatives a draft system brings.
I think if you just had them come in as free agents, you would see their true values come out.
Not only that but it would also help rookies in that they would go to the place where they are most needed.
When the Saints drafted Reggie Bush, they did so because they thought he was the best player available, not because they needed a running back. If he was a free agent on the other hand, he would have probably been signed by a team that did need a running back, and subsequently probably would have seen much more playing time.
I don't think you'd see anymore training camp holdouts, rather I think you would see players simply taking the best deal on the table even before mini camp started.
It would also allow teams like the Lions to invest much more heavily in young talent. I'm sure they would rather have 3 top ten rookies right now then simply taking Matt Stafford.
I'm all for letting the free market decide things. But right now there really isn't a free market. We have this butchered draft/free market system which is broken.
