Former EliteXC and youtube superstar Kimbo Slice will be a cast member on the next season of the Ultimate Fighter. UFC President Dana White has saidhe would never let Kimbo fight in the UFC unless he won TUF. With Rampage Jackson and Rashad Evans coaches there will already be some black on black crime, throwing Kimbo in there will be a ratings bonaza!!!
I must say I'm pretty surprised Kimbo is actually doing this.
At the same time he realizes that if he actually wants to be taken seriously by the MMA community he cannot continue to beat on old tomato cans, and local nobodys.
In that regard I have a little more respect for him now that he seems to be willing and wanting to move out of his circus gimmick, and try to actually compete with the best fighters in the world.
Do I think he can hack it at the UFC level though?
No. From what I've seen in his fights he seems to be nothing more then a mid-level fighter with a great business model for success.
