BREAKING NEWS!!!!

BREAKING NEWS OUT OF THE CITY OF MILWAUKEE:

THE CHICAGO CUBS ARE AWFUL!!!!!

Down 3-0
Down 3-2
Down 9-2
Down 9-6
Lose 12-6

This team as Cubs' Radio Broadcaster and Legend Ron Santo put it are "an embarassing team" and "don't deserve to win". This is when I realized that this team truly is awful! When Ron Santo starts saying stuff like, "I don't know how Lou deals with this stuff, these are supposed to be Major League pitchers" and "this team has disappointed Cub fans everywhere" you know the team is bad. I know I'm supposed to be like every other Cubs fan and accept it when they lose, but I'm not. I can't. And I won't. This is horrible and these are the reasons why I am so upset by there recent play.

1. Bullpen- They get rid of two of their most reliable relief pitchers in Kerry Wood and Michael Weurtz. Last night the new bullpen gave up 3 runs including the game-winning homer. Tonight the bullpen gave up 7 runs. Let me say that again, the bullpen tonight gave up SEVEN RUNS!!!! Cubs come back to make it a one-run game with the Pauir of the Hoff. Then they bring in the worst pitcher ever, Neal Cotts. One inning later it's a 9-2 game. Then the Cubs try to mount a comeback and make it 9-6. Then Aaron Heilman comes in and procedes to burn down the stadium. Cubs lose 12-6.

2. Mark DeRosa- The worst trade made by the Cubs since they sent Lou Brock to the Cardinals for Ernie Broglio. I'm not saying DeRosa is a hall of famer, but he was a huge part of the team. Now Aramis Ramirez is out for atleast a month with a dislocated shoulder and the Cubs are stuck with Mike Fontenot and Ryan Freel playing third. Fontenot is a solid hitter, and Ryan Freel is a solid fielder, but Mark DeRosa was an awesome hitter and a very solid fielder. The MOST ridiculous trade made by Jim Hendry.

3. Derrek Lee- Just leave. Take your neck spasms and your .209 average elsewhere. You are not welcome here anymore. But sure enough once you are healthy enough you will take that .209 average and send Micah Hoffpauir and his .298 average to the bench. You D-Lee are done, you have nothing left to offer. The only thing you are reliable for is grounding into double plays and staring at strike three right down the pipe.

If it weren't for the Blackhawks doing something the Cubs couldn't do in two years by winning a playoff game, I would be muc more bitter right now. Either way, this team is god awful and GM Jim Hendry needs to pull off a great trade(possibly to bring back Mark DeRosa) in order for this team to have any shot of competing in this division. I know it's not like Cubs fans to complain about losses, but this has gotten out of control.

Yah right now as a Yankee fan I'm sorda surprised that the Yankees are on a bad streak. The Yankees go out and get the best talent but that doesn't mean your going to win any games. Even though I hate Boston, I'll give them this they are the best spenders in all the MLB.

The worst thing they did was Trade DeRosa. Yes. DeRosa was huge for that team and possibly the second best offensive player for part of last saeson for them. The Pitching has been horrid also which is how u lose games. Z being out hurts alot and Harden dosn't pitch more than 5-6 innings most games. If they need help stretch him out more and make some moves and trade some guys down in the Minors if need be to get a dam bat to help out that offense behind Alfonso Soriano

Lou Piniella put it best when asked about the relief pitchers, he said, "Our starters are keeping us in the game, our relievers are taking us out of games."

You want to complain about losing, come talk to me when your franchise loses 10,000 games.

I think I might be the only one when I say that I love watching the Cubs lose in the Playoffs.

The Cubs are just another example of how you cant usually buy a championship, however its a long season and its far from over and still plenty of time to right the ship.

Cubs have everything that can go wrong does go wrong for them. Its just like that some teams are just good in the regular season and they can't win in the playoffs. Long live the Billygoat Curse.
