Wow. All i have to say is Wow. And the worst part is that their not going to keep letting Russell grow more and get better beacuse their goign to ahve a open competition for the starting QB and i think Garcia would win it. Its really a shame

Its sad for Jeff Garcia because that there were no more teams that offered him. He is a good player and has a couple good years left of him. JaMarcus Russel wow this guy has gone a full 180 degrees backwars number one pick two years a go held out most of his first season and now he is on the bench. Sad day for him. Raiders have finally given up hope for him

In San Franciso his numbers were impressive. In 2000 and 2001 he had over 30 TDs. In 2002 he had 21 TDs. What do mean if he has a good group around him, he will do good? I can name a bunch of QBs that can do the same thing. If you put good players around a mediocre QB, of course he will do good i.e Matt Cassel. Garcia isn't what he used to be. He won't lose you games, but he won't win them for you. When he was in San Franciso he could and would win you games. Now he can't, which means he's washed up.
Baja he is probaly the toughest Quarteback in the NFL I don't know anybody that gets banged more than he does and he gets right back up like it never happend

baja, in the later stages of his career, he didnt have great numbers. for example, he lead the eagles to the playoffs in 06 and didnt have great numbers. he's lead the bucs to winning records since he's been there, and he didnt have great numbers.
I never said he wasn't tough Bob. Just because your tough, doesn't mean your good. I woudn't want him as the QB for my team. He won't win you games, but he won't make you lose games. I rather have someone like Cutler,Brady,Manning,Rivers,etc. Those guys can win you games. I don't want to rely on my D every game.
He won't lose you games, or win them for you. He's ok. He's not what he used to be. If I have a good D,RB,WR,etc., and I need a QB on a short notice, I would go and get Garcia.
Wow JaMarcus Russell sucks he is like a really bad QB that can throw really far but has no accuracy. He throws lots of interceptions and his completion percentage is low.
