well the braves beat the phillies tonight 4-0 pretty embarrasing if you ask me because the phillies are the defending champs what do you guys think of the season and this game

Ok. Well to start it was 4-1. Two i think the Phillies just didn't expect the sudden power fromt he braves. Three This Jordan Schafer kid for the Braves is going to be real good. And maybe Derick Lowe will have a chance wo win that NL CY Young if he keeps pitching like that

Yes the Mets do play at 1:10 today but two games cancelled due to bad weather in the White Sox Royals and Red Sox Rays. This is just two games but there is still the chance more get the cancel due to bad weather incluidng the Mets game

yeah hopefully no other games will be cancelled cause no one wants there teams openers cancelled and moved to tomorrow

Not only fans of thsoe teams but the peopel in general if your a baseball fan you dont want to see games canceld on Opening day

no you don't good point speaking of games being canceled there is sleet in Cincinnati which means it will most likely be canceled as well

If nthis game is called also that would mean the ESPN games wouldn't start untill four then with the Yankees Orioles game

Yeah they changed it to 1:20. And also so you guys know MLB Extra innings if you don't already pay for it is giving you a free week for opening week so you can watch all the games there

yes but how they are keeping that 1 run lead i know a lot of teams that do that but the mets are just not one of those teams

Its very possibly for snow in a lot of places in the first couple of weeks in April. Now its not normal to see it but were seeing it and Mother Nature always seems to wreck havoc on the first few weeks of baseball

The MEts could have more runs this game. Herrang wasn't pitching well and they didn't pounce on it. They left some guys on base. I think you could blame a little bit of it on the weather but i think most of it was the offense just wasn't flowing

Yeah but if they continue to play like that they won't win to many games against the Phillies and the good teasm in the NL. I'm going to say the team to watch in the NL this year is going to eb the Marlins. They look god and have some very talented pitchers and a lot of speed

Yes they did both look good and thats a good sign for the bull pen that was HORRIBLE last season. They showed the 8th and 9th inning guys are soild and will hold them together int he late innings but the real question will be how good will the middle reliefe be

yeah i guess we'll find out and yeah the bullpen was terrible last year epically heilman the bullpen with billy wagner =] (meaning good)
bullpen without wagner=[ (meaning bad)

SD- Wagner was injured for most of last season, and Heilman isn't good. He had a 5.21 ERA. Thats high for a starting pitcher, and he's a RP.

that's what i was saying i knew heilman was terrible and like i said the bullpen was pretty good  with wagner and horrible without him
