Last year on June 11th he went 9 innings, and only allowed 4 hits and one run. I don't know what you consider good starts dale, but a lot of people would say that's good.
Well see i have other things to do other than go back and look at all of Justin Verlander's starts from last year and i'll say thats not a bad start. I didn't remember him having any

and the year before around that time he threw a no hitter. he can prove to be a great pitcher at times and he can be a really bad pitcher at times. sometimes he can be compared to a Francisco Lirano when he comes up to the majors for a start or two then after a couple of starts hes does great.
more times than not, at best hes going to be an average starter. if in fact he throws a good game, theres a good chance he wont get the win because that bullpen is terrible
