Jerry Lynn captured the ROH championship on Saturday night in Houston, Texas, defeating Nigel McGuinness with the cradle piledriver in the main event of ROH's Supercard of Honor IV.

This ends the close to 2-year reign of Nigel McGuinness as ROH Champion, his reign was plagued by injuries which is probably one of the reasons why they pulled the trigger on McGuinness dropping the belt much sooner. They are currently playing Jerry Lynn up as a "Randy the Ram" type wrestler.
