So many thoughts, very little words. I am stunned that they actually pulled this off. For you guys who aren't Bears fan, let me explain something to you. The Bears never ever get players they should. Theres always rumors that lead to constant disappointment. I and every Bears fan I know thought this was gonna be the same old Bears, making rumors but not actually being serious. Than this happens. I am amazed and extremely excited.

Then the Bears went and did it again. After GM Jerry Angelo created rumors and got Bears fans excited about Orlando Pace. We all thought it wasn't serious. Than just minutes after the announcement of the trade, they announce the signing of Pace.

Well your going to be happy as a Bears fan now the Bears are going to win the NFC North, NOT!!!!!!!!!, the Packers are going to be the team to beat and they are going to win the NFC North with Aaron Rodgers having experience as a starter and there defense will be better.

And this trade immediately makes Forte better.

And Bob, you are retarded. So Aaron Rodgers may have experience, but so does Jay Cutler you mental midget!! And the Bears and the Vikings both have better defenses than the Packers. So shut up you Packers homer, you are ruining this moment.

As a Bronco fan, really not happy about this.

I mean Denver got two first rounders, but Jay Cutler is a proven NFL QB.  You have no idea what you are getting with this first round draft picks.  Best case scenairo is Denver breaks even.  Superstars for draft choices almost never work out, unless the superstar either gets hurt, or is over the hill.

Jay Cutler is about to enter his prime, and he hasn't had any injury issues except for his diabetes.

Orton's alright, don't see him as the QB of the future, but he's better then anyone else Denver has right now.

As for Chicago I mean congrats, you've got the best young QB in the game at least from a talent perspective.

With that being said though let the buyer beware.  This guy cried his way out of one city because he felt he wasn't being treated right, and I'm happy about never having to defend this guy again whenver he opens up his mouth to talk about how great he is.

StevenMJ he is a great passer Jay Cutler but here's the thing who is he going to throw to Devin Hester and Greg Olson thats all he's got and of course Matt Forte. They are going to have a lot of problems bloking this year the Bears.

The Broncos did the right thing get Kyle Orton who is a good quarterback and get two first round draft picks. They have Eddie Royal and Brandon Marshall who are really good wide recievers.

Well, Bob, let me inform you that they just signed Orlando Pace and will no doubt draft a couple o-linemen. And then you have to realize that the acquisition of a very good young QB opens up many more options at wide out. More guys will be willing to sign because they have a good QB to throw them the ball. I agree that they need some more wide receivers, but this makes it easier to get that done. Now the only needs they really have are the defensive backfield, one more solid d-lineman, and they need to fire Ron Turner. And it may seem like they dont have many draft picks left after this, but they still have 8 total picks. So they can still have a very solid draft.

Are you kidding me Steve? Packers have a way better defense than the Bears. Charles Woodson and Nick Collins combined for 14 INTs, and the LB core will be dangerous next year with Nick Barnett back and Aaron Kampman moving to LB with an already great AJ Hawk.

The Packers were ranked 20th in D last year. The Bears were ranked 21st in D last year. This means The Packers have a better D.

Ok, so the Packers were one rank above the Bears. But I'm not talking about last year, I'm talking about goin into this year. Lovie Smith has pretty much taken over as defensive coordinator which got him the head coaching job in the first place. And they hired Rod Marinelli as the D-Line coach. Say what you will about Marinelli being the head coach of the worst team in NFL history, but he took Warren Sapp from a good D-lineman to a great one, and he can do the same with Tommy Harris.

So If a team is ranked 32nd in D and another D is ranked 1st, that doens't mean anything?

what  changes have the Bears made on D? They haven't made any major changes that I can remember. Oh and Steve I like how you say he turned him into a great D-lineman. The only year Rod wasn't there was Sapp's rookie year. Tell me if I'm wrong but aren't most players better than they were in their rookie year?

Yes, they do get better as there career progresses for the most part. But Warren Sapp has even said that he isn't sure if he wouldve had the career he had if it wasnt for Marinelli. Now dont take that to think im sayin I think the bears have a good D. They still need some better guys in the secondary, but the coaching improvements bump them ahead of the Packers.

And don't ever ever try to compare the Packers Linebackers to the Bears Linebackers, PistonsFan. Try to put your favoritism aside for a second. A.J. Hawk is NOT a great linebacker. He's good and is very solid, he is not great. And Nick Barnett is past his prime.

Tell yourself to put your own favoritism away from the Bears. Urlacher is not the same as before either.

The bears are starting to bring in all the pieces to win a championship. They have a good QB. A great RB. A Soild Defense. They signed one of the greatest o-linemen ever the only thing they need to address really is WR but getting another O-linemen will help the blocking on Cutler so he can make plays.

Hester was awful last year, and the Packers have Will Blackmon who had 2 punt return TD last year.

Why dont we just settle this by saying...

Bears have better LB but Packers have better DB

That is as true as I can get.

im gonna jump in on this conversation by saying the vikings are the team to beat. they have a better d then both the packers and bears and they have a great rb in peterson. and I know what you all are going to say: they have no qb. but if rosenfels plays decent (or better than tarvaris jackson) the vikings will win the division

PF, with the exception of Peanut Tillman, every Packers DB is better than every Bears DB.

They did lose Matt Birk

The vikings have no QB. But Adrian Peterson scares the crap out of me. He has the same effect on me that only Barry Sanders and Brett Favre(pre-2005) have had on me. The fact that the week before the game I dread the fact that the Bears have to play them cause I know theyre gonna go off and make it miserable for me. However, the Bears have to be the team to beat because they have acquired what every team needs, a franchise QB. Its the hardest thing to do, some teams even just stumble into a franchise QB, i.e. the Patriots. The Vikings have had the hardest time trying to find a productive QB since Randy Moss left Daunte Culpepper alone on a boat, literally.

Jackson isn't really that bad. In his last 5 games he threw 8 TDs and 2 Ints, and he had a QB rating of 95.4.

Jackson has glimpses of potential greatness. He seems like if he could develop into his own he could be a very good QB. But he's very inconsistent and if he ever finds his groove and starts playing well on a consistent basis he could easily be the best QB in the NFC. He has a great arm and great pocket instincts, he just makes some horrible decisions.

Yea, I agree. His problem is they just traded for Rosenfels, so the starting job isnt his just yet. And my brother's a Vikings fan and he reminds me every time we talk about the North that the Vikings have one of the most under rated defenses in the league. And he's right, the Williams wall is amazing.

Vikings check list:

RB: check

D: check

O-line: check

QB:

WR:

If they can get those filled, the vikes are SB contenders

Well they aren't horrible at wideout. Bernard Berrian is a very solid deep threat and I know that first hand. And Sidney Rice is a pretty solid receiver too. Ihate the Vikings almost as much as I hate the Packers, but their is a reason that the Vikes won the division last year. Howeva, their special teams is a joke, literally hilarious to watch.

ST isn't as important as QB. If they can get a QB, he can make those ok WRs into good ones.

Very true. Thats why I think this trade makes the Bears the automatic favorite to win the North. They just locked up the most important position on the team. Let me give you guys a little taste of how rare this guy is for the Bears. Last season Cutler had 8 games of over 300 passing yards. May not seem that incredible, but thats twice as many as the Bears franchise record for 300 yard games in a season.

This is what I think the standings will be:

1. Vikes
2. Bears
3. Packers
4. ****

AD is just amazing, he can destroy any D. I think TJ will step up, and throw 20 TDs and 4 INTs

If Jackson does win the starting job, 20 TDs is not out of the question, but 4 INTs is. He his a gunslinger who will throw double digit INTs.

I mentioned that when I said he has great pocket pressence, meaning he can feel pressure and escape it. He just throws the ball to all the wrong places.
