One of the greatest and most controversial pitchers of all time, Curt Schilling is finally calling it quits after a 20+ year career in Major League Baseball.
The last time Curt Schilling was on the mound was during the 2007 World Series.
A Hall of Fame pitcher for sure, it will be interesting to see what Curt Schiling's legacy will be.
I don't need to talk about what Schilling did on the mound, as his numbers, and his 2004 postseason performance speak for themselves.
Yet it may be what he did off the field that may be his biggest legacy.
Throughout his career but especially early on he had constant problems with teamates and other players.
The image of him putting a towel over his face during the '93 World Series whenever Mitch Williams took the mound is still etiched in the minds of many who watched that World Series, and many of his Phillie teamates have still not forgiven him for those actions.
He's also had some minor squabbles with the media, and has been one of if not the most outspoken player against the use of anabolic steroids and HGH in baseball.
I don't think it would shock anybody if one day we saw Curt Schilling making a run at the senate.
In the end I think Curt Schilling will go down as one of the most fascinating, polarizing, and greatest players to ever play the game.
I'm not saying Curt Schilling is a Hall of Fame pitcher, I'm telling you Curt Schilling is a Hall of Fame pitcher.
If he's not in, 75% of the players need to be kicked out.
I'm not even going to bother making this argument, because anyone who tries to make an argument of why Curt Schilling isn't a Hall of Famer has no idea what the hell their talking about.
The only reason some writers are even saying he isn't a Hall of Famer is because alot of people don't like him, so they try to play with his stats to prove their BS point.
It's fine not to like him, I'm not a big fan of his myself, but the guy is a Hall of Fame pitcher. He was a top 10 pitcher in the Majors for nearly a decade. That's enough for me, and it's been enough for 75% of the guys in the Hall. I don't know what more you want.
Curt Schilling is a big mouth pompus pitcher, who made his career being a loud mouth. I personally don't like this guy for the reason that he just goes off on everyone for no reason.
This guy I respect him as a player, but he still didn't do enough to get in the Hall of Fame in my opioninon.
You need 300 wins these days and he is no where near close to that he has like 220+ wins and he needs atleast another 50.

Yea, he is a Hall of Famer for what he did in the postseason during his career. People really only remember the bloody sock but he was a huge part of the D'Backs championship.
