I'm kinda surprised this hasn't come up yet. I thought i'd go ahead and start it after what D-Wade and Lebron have done as of late. Wade has been averaging almsot 40 a game for his last 7. Lebron had 4 Tripple doubles in a row. So who is the Leagues MVP?

Without a doubt it is Chris Paul. He is one of 2 players in the NBA right now averaging a double-double. The other one is Howard. Its between them. The reason I picked Paul over howard was that he is averaging more points and assists. Of course Paul will have more assists, but he is also averaging 5 to 6 rebounds a game. If his rebound average was in the 1-3 range, It would be much closer. Thats why Paul should be MVP.

Ok so just because paul is average 21.8 Pt's a game and howards averaging 21 points gives him the advantage? Ok Howard is leading the NBA in Rebounds and blocks. Yes Paul gets more assists but thats expected for Paul cause hes a PG and Howards a Center. Where Paul could get the nod above him really is in the free throw shooting because Howard only shoots about 60 % and oaul shoots like 87 %

Well Wade is leading the league in Points and as of late has been averaging a lot of assists as of late but he has the least to work with around him while Lebron gets almost as many assists and Wade does every night and he isn't scoring as much cause he has Mo Williams and Big Z as a supporting cast and Kobe has Gasol, Fisher and Odom

well of course Howard is going to have a worst FT%, he's 6'11. I don't expect the same guy to lead the league in blocks and rebounds to have a better FT% than someone like Paul.
Yeah it's not a surprise but I think Howard could get better at free throws which he has a little bit thorughout the season shooting good in selective games
