The complaining, the tears, the "that's my quarterback", the catches, the touchdowns...all over in Dallas today as Terrell Owens has been released by the Dallas Cowboys.
One of the most profilic Wide Recievers in the game this decade; his time in Dallas now over after not a single appearence in the "big game" and not a single Dallas playoff win. When you think about those stats you have to say that T.O.'s time in Dallas was far from successful.
The question I ask YOU...is do you think T.O. will be picked up by another team (or be "black balled" from football) and is this a good/bad move by the Cowboys?
There's 31 other teams in the NFL, and he's still better then 90% of the wide outs in the league.
Somebody is going to offer him a contract.
Problem is I don't see anyone going above two years. Quite frankly I don't know why you would even go above one.
But I refuse to believe his as big of a locker room cancer as the media reports. I'm not saying he's not a cancer, but there's guys in the league that are just as bad as him that never get talked about.
At least TO shows up in shape, and ready to play every down. I've never once heard people saying he was dogging it out on the field.
If you do that I can at least put up with you for a little while as a teamate/coach.
Needless to say though he is a drama queen. I won't argue that.
The first team that comes to mind for a possible destination for TO, the New York Giants.
Of course someone will pick him up. I don't think a winning team like the Giants or Pats will pick him up. Someone like the Raiders,Lions,49ers,Rams,etc.
