bob i think the chiefs brought in cassel with the mentality that hes going ot be the starter. i doubt theres going to be a competition. maybe for the second string spot between thigpen and whoever else but not for the starting job
i honetly wouldnt be surprised if cassel tanks in kc. he had 1 nice season in new england where he was behind one of the best o-lines in the league, and had weapons all over the field to throw too. in kc, unless they do something in free agency or the draft, he will have 3 decent weapons at his disposal, and behind one of the worst o-lines in the league.
Interesting move if u ask me. I think it was a weird move just along with giving them Matt Cassel. Its prolly just a move to free up more cap but its a few things that will help the chiefs

I think they both got screwed. The pats only get a 2nd round pick for Vrabel and Cassel. Vrabel is not as good as he used to be, and won't help out very much, and Cassel is overrated
Baja, lemme go Ron Jaworski on you for a second and break this play down. Cassel drops back, he feels the inner-city pressure, moves up in the pocket, escapes the pocket, throws on the run, off his back foot, and side-armed, and throws a perfect, tight spiral with accuracy to the place where only his receiver can catch it. So yes, baja, one play can show how good a player is.

But your missing the point the completely. I'm saying that Matt Cassel is good and is not overrated. So I showed you a play that showed you how good Matt Cassel is. But, once again, the point went right over your head.

Right but it's different when tom brady's there throwing to moss and welker. I don't see how you can call kansas city a loser in this deal. They gave up two draft picks to get one of the hottest qb's in the game. Cassel's young, talented, and gives them a chance to win games.
Ill answer that. He's a solid 7 with potential to be an 8. I'm not trying to say he's amazing here. I'm saying he's good and therefore is not overrated. If the Chiefs get some offensive linemen(which there are plenty in the draft), then they will be solid. I know Tony Gonzales has express he wants a trade, but I wouldn't be surprised if he changes his mind now. And Dwayne Bowe is a very talented wide receiver.

Chiefs need help pretty much everywhere right now. They're another one of those teams that have drafted good but not great. That's fine, but if you don't make at least some free agency moves to bulster that young talent, your going to fall behind the 8-ball real fast.
Then again having Herm Edwards as your head coach will ruin your franchise irregardless of what you do in my opinion.
I think the Chiefs could do some good things with Matt Cassel and may even make the playoffs in what's looking like a very weak AFC West, but KC still has a long way to go before they can contend for a Super Bowl.
Short and simple the Chiefs need homerun hitters, and depth. They don't have either right now.
i think its hard to say whether or not he is overrated or not. he played on a team with the best offense in the nfl, and now hes goin to one of the worst offenses in the nfl. based on his performance with new england, he is a 6.5 on a scale from 1 to 10, but i think that number might drop with the cheifs
