NFL Offseason

It is one day after the Super Bowl, and we know the pittsburgh steelers are the champs. now it all begins again. the offseason is where you can add to your team and hopefully become the champs. So with that said, who do you want your team to go after this offseason? Heres a list of free agents of 09: http://www.footballsfuture.com/freeagents.html

The Giants have a good nucleus now all they need to do is resign Derrik Ward and Brandon Jacobs and they will be good to go.

yeah and a quaterback not named Eli, we will never how good he really is as long as he plays in that stadium. His career road record may very well better than is home. I know his career completion % is somewhere in the area of 55 which is horrible for a QB, I think Giants stadium has taken over for Arrowhead as the toughest place to play for either team. The winds in that place is just down right nasty.

Yah no kidding I was actually surprised that John Carney went 35/38 on field goals this year and he made the NFC Pro Bowl team. The crosswinds their are pretty nasty. Opposing kickers always have problems with the winds at the Meadowlands.

But eli just won a super bowl last year so he's proven you don't necessarily have to win at home.

As a Niner fan, I'd love for us to get Jordan gross from the Panthers as we are going to a power running game ala Titans and Ravens.

I would not sign anyone from in the free agent market if I was a GM. I'd build my franchise from the draft. Look at the Giants when they won the championship in '08. They had seven stellar draft picks that helped take their team to the next level and (possibly) beyond.

In the same token, look at the Lions. They can't get a break with their draft picks. But I believe the draft is worth a shot.

The way the America economy is, I believe if you build from the draft, you get a good core of players at a reasonable asking price. It's worth a shot, espacially if you have a decent to good veteran core and a good coaching staff to develop your team.

as an eagles fan i think the eagles should go after anquan boldin. if i were the eagles id offer up one of my first round picks and a third round pick for anquan. if they cant get anquan i dont think they should go afer houshmanzoudeh. also, i think the eagles should sign or draft a big back. idk who that may be but they definetly need one

Umm, I could go on and on about what I and just about every Bears fan wants from the team, but I'd be wasting my time. The Bears never do anything that they should. They should go after Boldin, but that would mean a first round draft pick. And if they trade the first round draft pick, how are they gonna waste that pick on the wrong guy.. again?(Cedric Benson, Rex Grossman, Chris Williams, Marc Colombo, etc., etc..)

Youre absolutely right, last year the Giants were a 5 seed I believe and didnt have to play a game at home. This year they did and they looked like the road team.

As an Eagles fan I do agree with pennst with getting that bigtime reciever however I would not be opposed to a offensive tackle. With both Runyan and Thomas free agents you would have to figure only 1 if either of them will be back. If everthing starts up front that would be the need filled first.

What I heard wally is that if one of the tackles leave, then they are going to slide Shawn Andrews to tackle where he played in college. Its easier to find a guard in the draft than a starting tackle.

Thanks CO, I didnt hear about that, the idea of Andrews protecting McNabbs blindspot is comforting.
