Minnesota Timberwolves

This team is very lackluster in there talent as of now, except for the acceptions of Al Jefferson, Randy Foye, and maybe Rashad McCants. The Timberwolves started out the season just like the last couple of years very poorly, winning a couple of games here and there. The Wolves then fired their head coach and put Kevin McChale in as the coach. Now at first he was doing very poorly as the coach, but of late he has them playing .500 ball, which for a Timberwolve fan has got to be a sign of improvement. So far he is 10-2 in the month of January which is a great sign for this team. Maybe not this year, but next year look for this team to shoot off and make it back to contention for a playoff spot. Comments tell me what you think about the T-wolves, if you think they will make the playoffs next year? If Kevin McChale is a good coach for the future?

No i don't see them getting a playoff spot with this team. Sure mchale had one good month but you need more than a good month to compete in the western conference. There's way too many good teams in that conference and they can't win with just jefferson and foye. Bring in a couple more players then maybe.

True to that cheesy the western conference has teams that are doing a lot better than the Wolves and thats why the western conference is better because of the quality of their teams. Having said that the T-wolves look good in the future, if they can develop Kevin Love into a good center, and keep the great progress of Rodney Carney going, theirs four players that can help this team make the playoffs.

Kevin love will never be a center in the league. Way to small compared to the centers today, he will probably be best suited maybe as even a small forward, could be to small and weak to be a power forward.

He can't be a small forward for the fact that he can't hit a three and that he is to slow. He needs to be down on the block so he can make an impact. They need to then get him as a power forward then.

Plus how can you count McCants as a good player when has 9 DNP-coach's decision in the last couple weeks.

The Garnett deal actually may have been one of those moves that worked out well for both teams.

The TWolves know they weren't about to win anytime soon, so they got rid of their best player and in return got a player in Al Jefferson they can build around for the next 5-10 years barring injuries, (something you probably could not have done with Garnett at least at this stage in his career) 2 1st round picks, and some cap relief.

Clearly the Celtics are looking like they got the better end of the deal since they have a title, but the TWovles weren't about to be title contenders anytime soon even with KG, so you might as well dump him and start building for the future, which is exactly what they did.
