One year ago today....

...We lost one the best actors to appear on the big screen, Heath Ledger. Ledger died after an accidental overdose, leaving behind one of the most memorable performances ever, as the Joker in The Dark Knight. From A Knights Tale to Brokeback Mountain, Ledger could play any part. I just wanted to start this thread to make sure people remember how great he was.

I got to admit that role in Dark Knight was perfect, he played the Joker with poise and acted just like him. I think his most regrettful role was in broke back Mountain. He will be missed for his great acting.

Why would he regret his role in Brokeback Mountain? Have you seen the movie? He was an Oscar Nom for his role in it. The movie actually is pretty good.

Right but if you see the movie, you would see that that role was just one of many great performances by him.

Guy could Act. He did a great job in all his movies and you can't just jump on his case for playing a Gay Cowboy in Brokeback Mountain.

I agree with dale... just because he played a gay cowboy doesn't mean anything. He played that part to perfection as well as the dark knight. RIP heath.

A little Did You Know?.. Heath Ledger was actually the first choice to play Spider-Man, when he turned it down, they gave the part to Toby McGuire. Imagine how much better the Spider-Man movies would've been had he accepted the part...

They would be pretty good, but Toby McGuire is a good actor in his own behalf. He looks like a pretty good spiderman to me.

See that was always my one problem with the Spider-Man movies. The movies were alright, but, for me at least, Toby McGuire doesn't really fit as Peter Parker.

Yah to be honest I wasn't a big Spiderman fan anyways. I'm more of a Superman fan. Superman was a great movie if you ask me.

Superman Returns picked up right where Superman IV left off...in the toilet. Brandon Roth was a terrible Clark Kent. They should've gotten the guy from Smallville or the guy from Lois & Clark, they could not have done any worse.

Nicholas Cage was the first choice to take over for Christopher Reeves...when that feel through the Superman Franchise collapsed.

Well Cage circa 1992 would have been ok.....right nor Routh is scheduled to be in the next one but they want to make the movie darker ala The Dark Night

They are actually making another one? With Brandon Roth? The only guy that should come back is Kevin Spacey who played a really good Lex Luther.
